EUROVISION 2014 - COPENHAGEN - DENMARK

SECHUK JURY 2014 - THE JURY REVIEW FOR MONTENEGRO

2 Juries - one UK and one International, will comment on and rate the songs of ESC 2014 as they are chosen.

The idea is that the songs will be voted on first impresssions, as most TV viewers will do in May.

The main difference of course is that in May they will be subject to the same production standards and opportunties, something that differs at National Selection stage.

A very nice and easy Balkan ballad! Just a tad bit boring. There's no dynamic  factor here that for instance Zeljko has in his songs or Bosnia 2006 had. But, best of luck!

Their best entry ever (at least since they started competing by their selves) And I like the song really much, a beautiful ballad with a good singer.

A good ballad this year from this country.I hope it will qualify. Its not outstanding though but it has a real chance to enter in the final.I don't know how the guy can sing live and it will depend on the staging to.

'Moj svijet' is a wonderful Balkan ballad with a beautiful and warm melody. Instrumentally brilliant with soaring strings and Sergey's voice contains so much emotion. Echoes of 'Lane Moje', 'Lejla', 'Nije ljubav stvar' and 'Korake ti znam'. Surely there must be a place for Montenegro in the final for the first time. This is timeless and 3 minutes of bliss. Fantastic video too !

All the soul of the ex yugoslavian countries that dont participate in this year esc ( bosnia , serbia , croatia ) in one song. Definetly the best song from Montenegro ever. Hope to go with the native language

A very very catchy and well sung balcanic ballad. The song that Montenegro owed, finally is here. Now my fear is that apparently they have no much friends to vote for it on a very ex soviet semifinal. I wish all the justice for this nice song.

I really like this entry but was a bit confused by the ending, I was left wanting more. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.

This is a great song from Sergej, a beautiful ballad that will surely go down a treat with those of us who feel a bit inundated with the more dance-based songs in this year's contest. I really hope this qualifies - it's their best chance in years.

Classy ballad with some nice elements to it. Really nice video as well. It's very nice and pleasant to listen and then a little bit gets boring, but though this I enjoy. The song needs a little more instrumental bit. This will only do well with a good show, with a good emotional climat, good camera angles and well performed vocals. Maybe a little more instrumental bit mid way should have been stronger to ensure a good result. The juries will notice this song, Montenegro will qualify for the 1st time.

A nice and powerful Balkan ballad, I really like it and that should send Montenegro to their first Eurovision final, and I really hope to see them in the final.

A beautiful video . I didn´t understand a word, but I think I know what is was all about. Beautiful song and a good singer, this is what ESC is about in my opinion

A poignant ballad from a very good singer and performer. Typical ethnic sounds from the Balkans, strong emotions, everlasting feelings. A bit predictable, maybe, but his voice does have a leading role in it all. The (original) version in Montenegrin has a special charme.

This song is such an IMPROVEMENT on the last 2 from Montenegro . It may even be their best entry ever and will for sure make the final. It reminds me a lot of Bosnia 's Lejla.

Ah, the return of the Classic Balkan Ballad. Sergej's voice is strong, but this lacks some of the "oomph" of other songs in the genre ("Lane moje", "Lejla", "etc).  The song's abrupt ending throws me off a bit, to be honest...but I can't tell if that means that I'm dissatisfied, or if it simply leaves me wanting more?

Finally Montenegro enter a decent melody after a few, quite frankly, odd choices... Would have guaranteed them their first final place as an independent state had Bosnia , Croatia and Serbia been at the contest (in their semi) but it is probably not instant enough and too traditional to make it, but I really hope it does!

So glad we've got one big Balkan ballad as it's one of my favorite Euro genres and this is a nice big builder of a song and i love all those violins. This has to be the year that montenegro gets to the final, it's their best entry to date. Not keen on the sudden ending though.

I’m not really sure what to say about this one except it’s all pretty much been done before. It’s a nice Balkan ballad and this type of music has it’s fans, but with most of the Balkan countries taking a year out, this song is going to struggle to do well. I think it could come close to qualifying, but ultimately, the song is rather unremarkable so I think it could miss out.

A Balkan ballad, just what the contest needed this year. This will stand out, especially for the juries, and hopefully will go through to the final at long last for Montenegro . I like this but it does have an issue with the final stop dead and could be perceived as a tad tedious but should do well.

Montenegro in the final? This could be their year. In Sergej they have an excellent performer. The song is lovely although there is nothing new on offer and even sounds like an update to Bosnia 's 2012 entry. It's old-fashioned Eurovision and it's very welcome!

Ah!  Where would the contest be without a bit of Balkan Angst?  The "Lane Moje" lovers will lap this up in droves.  To much of the "same old - same old" for me, though.

Montenegro 's best entry ever. Yes it's very much a typical Balkan ballad, but who cares? This is a beautiful song that gets you in first listen, and just gets better.

Good to see them taking a note of Serbia 's successful entries. In a year with a lack of Balkans, this is such a nice song. A great folk feel, powerful vocal and well orchestrated. An anthem which should see them qualify for the first time.

The start reminds me of ‘Titanic’ and then the familiar Balkan sounds flow. That makes is solid and credible and fitting for a Balkan ESC entry. It’s not amazing, but it’s very pleasant indeed and should give them their best result yet. Calming…

Love it, pure and simple.  A wonderful melody and all-round atmospheric song that is NOT sung in English.  It's like a small glimpse into the Eurovision past.  As for qualifying; to quote Elsie Tanner as she headed off TV's famous cobbles "ah, now there's a question".

10

Nico

It's Balkan by numbers, but it is my cup of tea so I like it a lot. Unfortunately, it finishes before it manages to get to a climax, so I worry it may just not qualify. Pity, as it is their best chance yet.

8

Paul J

I really like this! Not the most contemporary but that's no problem - builds nicely, I think this will not only qualify but will give them a very credible place! Fingers crossed! Of course, the odds are against them though...

Another emotional homage to the Motherland, but this one has class and a really stirring tune.  I wouldn't slap it on my iPod but it may well see Montenegro 's passage to the final.

Poor Montenegro . They bring a fine Željko-style ethnic ditty to a festival with no Serbia , no Croatia and no Bosnia . I hope they make the final for the first time, that would be a real achievement. Sadly it's not really my cup of tea, but good luck to it
