EUROVISION 2014 - COPENHAGEN - DENMARK

SECHUK JURY 2014 - THE JURY REVIEW FOR SWEDEN

2 Juries - one UK and one International, will comment on and rate the songs of ESC 2014 as they are chosen.

The idea is that the songs will be voted on first impresssions, as most TV viewers will do in May.

The main difference of course is that in May they will be subject to the same production standards and opportunties, something that differs at National Selection stage.

A typical powerful Swedish pop-ballad. The song definitely commands the stage there is no doubt about that, but I just feel like we've heard it before Sweden ...

Well this is simply amazing, Sanna is one heck of a singer, and Undo is (although its bad grammar) an amazing song. I think I can not love anything more than this. I'm in love ;)

Well Sanna has a great voice and the ballad is good.It will stand out from the rest still I think it will no land in the final in the first part of the scoreboard.

Seventh time lucky for Sanna who finally represents Sweden after coming so close in 2008. Only 2 points separated 'Undo' from 'Busy doin' nothin''. This is a well crafted, haunting and emotional ballad that builds very nicely. Perhaps slightly predictable and safe and there is something annoying about the way she sings the word 'undo' in the chorus. A place in the top 10 in the final for Sverige is a realistic target however I doubt it is a winner for them.

This song is so deep, well sung, definitelly Sana deserved the victory since years ago. The show is very gracefull, unfurnatelly watching back to the past, this marvelous and neat songs don't win Eurovision.

Wow! Wow Wow!! I absolutely love this song Sweden . Great singer great song. Could be a winner!

I like Sanna, and I loved her entry "Empty Room" from years ago, but I can't get into "Undo" at all. All the best production and mixing in Sweden , plus Sanna's vocals can't gloss over the fact that this chorus is weak sauce. She doesn't look convincing singing it, well the latter part anyway. I'm happy at least that she's finally won Melodifestivalen though.

Nice melodic song, especially by such a great performer: She has so much presence, and great vocal ability. She will make it to the final easily, there are so few ballads this year and her perfomance will definitely stand out in May. This is a strong contender.

It's a nice entry. Sanna has a nice voice and I liked the staging but I found the song just a bit boring at the end. Having say that, I think Sweden will get another good result this year.

Go Sanna ! Here you have a lady that can sing ! A classic esc ballade. She´s a pro ....

My fav songs from Melodifestivalen this year were Stenmarck's anthemic masterpiece and Sanna's strong ballad. This song is really brilliant and classy. Remarkable in its simplicity, it's very emotional and dramatically catchy. I'm very convinced. Sweden could score very high once again. Bra jobbat. Heja

Some say it is impossible to UNDO an EMPTY ROOM , but if you TRY , TRY , TRY , TRY , TRY , TRY , TRY (7 times), this is just what happened. I am delighted she is finally going although UNDO is not her best song, but it should give a top 10 placing in Copenhagen .

I'm happy to see Sanna finally win after so many attempts, but why did it have to be with this maudlin, soporific ballad? Her voice is fine (albeit a bit bleaty at times, due to the arrangement), but this vehicle does absolutely nothing for me.

Sweden went for safety rather than something more challenging, Bröder, which would have been more interesting. I'm happy Sanna finally gets a chance and  glad it wasn't Anneka Rice lookalike Ace Wilder.

And yet again Sweden come up with an excellant song. How do they do it!! So pleased that Sanna has finally made it to the contest. I love this sort of euro ballad and it doesn't disappoint. I think it's a real contender to win.

I’ve been a huge fan of Sanna Nielsen for over 10 years, and it’s fantastic to finally see her represent Sweden in Eurovision after 7 tries. This is a lovely, contemporary ballad which builds well and is performed brilliantly. The juries will love this, but will the televoters? I think this is guaranteed a top 10 position, and could go higher.

This is simply atrocious. I can find no redeeming features. Her voice is beyond annoying and the song so so dated. In fact it isn’t really a song, just a series of badly sung words. Given that the last song I thought this bad was Euphoria then this will probably win.

Great to see Sanna at ESC after so many attempts. Unfortunately the song is from the 'colour me bland' school of ballads. On it plods, pleasant enough but without any real passion. In the realm of fandom Sanna is a bit of a goddess but to the voting public she might not carry the same level importance. Sweden are surely in the final but I suspect a mid-table placing beckons.

Complete perfection!  The most beautiful voice in Swedish popular music FINALLY wins MF.  No matter how well she does in Copenhagen this is the one for me! Magnificent

At last the fabulous Sanna gets to represent Sweden . A good ballad but it lacks a little something to make it brilliant. Top 10 in Denmark I think...

Eddie

The bridesmaid of MF finally becomes the bride. It's all about the voice. The song is above average but she sells the hell out of this. I hope the presentation stays the same - just make her look younger. She is amazing and I hope to be back in Sholm in May 2015!

Finally one of the Clamptzingson ladies wins and I'll be able to pick her out in a line-up. Its powerful and while seemingly emotive, it doesn't tug at the heartstrings like it should, it just doesn't feel genuine.. I hope they will be upfront with the backing singers too and in the end I can see it 5th. Good solid stuff from Sweden though, as you'd expect.

Matt

At last!  A 'proper' singer that sells her song and gives it some emotional welly! Some may call it 'boring' and a 'dire' but I am glad that someone of Sanna's quality has got through at last.  If at first you dont succeed... it won't win but will be up there

Nico

So she finally made it. Shame it wasn't with Empty Room. This is not Earth shattering, builds nicely, if somewhat predictably, and is very easy on the ear. Others will no doubt rave, but I can't see this is a winner.

St Sanna of Nielsen. I like this and am glad she's made it through to the ESC but if this was any other country's song would there be such excitement? Not sure. "Undo my sad?". Hmmm.

Sally-Ann

The uber-fans rejoice for Sanna's 7th time lucky victory and it's a general favourite so far.  I love Sanna, and her voice, but the ballad rarely rises above ordinary for me.  Top half finisher though.

Tristán

A very pleasant song, and was in my top 4 (I was rooting for Helena 's amazing song, and Alcazar). Not a patch on "I'm in Love" which ought to have won in 2011. I doubt this will end up in my top 10 but it's nice for the ballad-lovers to have something to root for.
