EUROVISION 2014 - COPENHAGEN - DENMARK

SECHUK JURY 2014 - THE JURY REVIEW FOR SLOVENIA

2 Juries - one UK and one International, will comment on and rate the songs of ESC 2014 as they are chosen.

The idea is that the songs will be voted on first impresssions, as most TV viewers will do in May.

The main difference of course is that in May they will be subject to the same production standards and opportunties, something that differs at National Selection stage.

What a fantastic song to listen to. Full of contemporary quality and I love the acoustic vibe in the song. It's not overproduced, but it's captivating in the moment. I just hope it doesn't get lost in the pack, but I feel like it will shine even more on a bigger stage. May just be my favorite so far!

Quite nice song. But not that amazing. Although I think this will do quite good in ESC .

I don't know what to say about this song. Its like I've seen it before and heard it before type of song.I definitely think Slovenia will remain in the semis.

There is definitely potential here but at the same time it also sounds like something is missing. A beautiful and mystical sounding start to the song and Tinkara has a lovely voice but then it seems to drift a little. Also a rather uneasy mix of English and Slovenian that needs looking at before Copenhagen together with some styling issues. Slovenia have always had to stand on their own with little support from their neighbours and in 2014 this is even more relevant. I hope that this song brings them to the final but it will be a close call.

Very good energetic stage act ... beautiful voice ... nice song. Please change the stylist and the make up and hair artist.

Slovenia is one of those countries that have deserved better luck. This song is quite nice and at least deserve a final, this folk show is not really appealing but the song itself it's very warm, I'm sure it will surpass the unlucky position of 2013

Firstly, What on earth is she wearing! The song is slightly (only slightly) better. Instantly forgettable. At least they sang some of the song in there own language so an extra point for that.

I'm glad to see that Slovenia have done a complete 180 after the awful dubstep effort of last year. The entry is very good, chorus is catchy and I like the use of both Slovenian and English in the song. Hopefully they won't mess with it too much by Semi-Final time.

Nice, Fresh contemporary song without trying to much, but if she'd have put more of the flute in her song, it'd been one of the best. Actually the best part for me is the flute intro. Out of all the songs this one comes closest to resemble last year's winner.

Well, I liked the flute passages and I think this song has some potential but they will need to work a bit on it. I'm not sure if this could qualify Slovenia for the final.

This is Eurovision ! Someone who enjoy singing, good melody and performance !

A very nice surprise. Great, solid song, finely built: I like the melody, the chorus, the folk sounds. For a while, I was thinking about a Sarek song from Melodifestivalen. It's really growing in me. Now she needs a special stage performance.

This came as a pleasant surprise to me. At first I thought a "repeat" of Only teardrops but it is actually quite different and tomy taste it is Slovenia 's best entry since 1993. I reallyhope they make the final despite the lack of other ex Yugoslavia countries.

This is perfectly pleasant, and as a former flautist, I'm always happy to see my old instrument represented, but I've listened to this a handful of times and still can't remember how it goes.  A Eurovision winner needs to get voters' hearts beating just a bit faster, and I'm afraid this just doesn't do that for me.

Homely song from a very homely final. Disappointing as there was a better song in there.  Just too bland to make an impression. Slovenia stuck in the semis again.

Oh yes, two backing singers for me who will rank with the backing dancers for Belgium last year. A very nice song and she has a very easy on the ear voice. About time that Slovenia reached a good position again and I think this could do it for them but not the winner.

I have a real soft spot for Slovenia and it’s great that they are here this year. I really like this track - Tinkara is an excellent performer and the song is cachy but sadly I think Slovenia are destined to stay in the semi final yet again, which would be a shame, as I think it could mean they might decide not to come back next year.

It’s not unpleasant and does have an interesting hook. The presentation is very static and doesn’t fit the music and I dislike the dual language. The flute, which is only a gimmick, actually kills it so I would ditch that but they won’t. With better presentation this could do well.

The opening twee flute melody had me worried. It was probably the best part of the song though. What follows seems to be a slice of generic pop that could be from anywhere. Songs like this tend not to proceed to the final and I fear that this gloomy piece of derivative pop will consign Slovenia to another early flight home.

Ethnic and folksy, jolly and quaint - sadly destined to stay in the Semi (as per) for Slovenia .  Shame!

Pleasant and melodic, but not much more. It could be another year without Slovenia in the Final.

A flute starting a song - where have I heard that before. It's weird in it's mixing so many elements but really works. It's a decent pop song, radio friendly. Good performance and nice voice. A qualifier but won't be on the left side of the scoreboard, I think.

Is this the same Tinkara who sang the amazing 'Zakaj' in 99? If so, how come she hasn't aged! I like, I like, I like... Nice feel to it, love the performance - they all seem to be really enjoying it. Needs a little polishing around the edges, but they may just have something there. Go, Slo!

Dear Slovenia ... it wasn't a fluke that the flute won!  Good song and I always enjoy a mix of English and mother lingo.  Get a different frock though love and watch that the enthusiastic guitar players don't steal the limelight!  Hopefully this will get through to the final.

Another perfectly pleasant song, but nothing to set the scoreboard alight. Interestingly I prefer the Slovene parts of the song, seems to suit the melody more. Better staging will no doubt help.

Reminds me of "Only Teardrops". I wasn't keen on that and I'm not really keen on this. Might grow on me... Hmm.

Flutes meet middle of the road pop to produce an inoffensive but ultimately forgettable number.  Once more, qualification seems unlikely for Slovenia .

I was gutted that Muff's excellent song didn't win. This was my sixth favourite out of the seven Slovenian songs, so not the best night for me. She'll have to practise miming that flute a little better if she's going to go to the effort of bringing it with her.
