If Iveta can pull this song off live, we can definitely expect this entry to do very well! The song is not what I was expecting at all, but I really like it! It's unique and powerful while still upholding a commercial vibe. Very solid entry from Armenia !

The song starts very promising and it is developing to a good entry, but not outstanding. It has some armenian flawour and it is almost good.I think with this song and the scoring history of Armenia this song will go to the final and have a decent place there especially if the staging will be good.

A recipe that we have "tasted" before, a few traditional instruments , a sexy girl....a girl witha nice voice and body and even a contribution that will achieve nothing more than a place in the final (due to the Dispersion) and A final ranking of around 13th place. Any fanciful, 12 points will go to Russia to be defeated this year in the contest.. Eurovision ...wake up!!!

Eurovision interpretation of art-pop? I like the idea, but I want to see more on stage in Stockholm . It could be either a great entry or nothing to remember.

This is dramatic, mysterious, deeply emotional, powerful and has a very interesting structure. The ethnic elements in 'LoveWave' are another plus point and Iveta looks stunning in the video. Unusual, classy, creative and artistic it might be but it also runs the risk of being too sophisticated for the ESC and that it requires too much patience to fully appreciate it. The Armenian diaspora should push this into the final and it will do better than their song last year but a winner it isn't ...

This is very cool. I love the violin part! Still, it feels a bit non-saying and the song doesn't get all the way 'there'. It's like it's on 95% the whole song, and then it's over. Song feels shorter than it actually is...maybe that's not a bad thing? haha!

Frederico

I like this song, though it really has little character despite their  inclusion of some "ethnic" elements. I think this will qualify but won't do very well in the final. The video production is impressive and seems to suggest they are taking this year seriously so maybe we will have an amazing performance in Stockholm

I really enjoy when a country is able to reinvent the image they gave in Eurovision in the past. Armenia has in LoveWave a contemporary entry and forgot about very basic pop (qele qele ... boom boom)

I never give top marks but I think I love this sone from start to finish. It will go down a storm in the hall on the night. Fabulous, Fabulous, Fabulous!!!

I'm a bit skeptical of this. I want to love it, but it doesn't even sound like a song to me. Just something you hear on a movie soundtrack or the like with Iveta's vocals making an appearance. Her vocals are pretty good though. I'll wait until I hear a live performance to make a proper judgment. On the plus side, you can easily tell this is a song from the Caucasus region - they've managed to get a duduk in there!

This is an amazing song; original and extraordinary with beautiful and well worked out music. I appreciate a lot though, that they are trying to be original and risky.

I would be lying if I said it was not a good song but I find it a bit boring, I don't know why there is something I do not like in Iveta's voice - but that's just me. Having said, I'm sure will put all their efforts on the staging and will probably end high at the final.

Difficult song, she sings it well, but who will remember this next year ? I think she gets to the final , but she´s not a winner

Glittering ethno-electro-pop from Armenia . Very good song, very good voice. This entry can catch your attention and it does not disappoint you. It takes you into a dreamy dimension. A potential contender.

Last year Latvia had LOVE INJECTED; now Armenia has LOVE WAVE. The song starts off nicely but then there is a sound wave which sort of blew me away – it gets a little too much. This song may as well as been in any language as I struggle following the English lyrics – where this usually bothers people, I do not mind that technically it sounds like an NON ENGLISH song. I did like Armenia last year, this year I am not so sure.

Nontraditional structure, a touch of ethnic instrumentation, and more than a bit of sex appeal. If her English were stronger, I'd be tipping this for a Top Ten spot, but as it stands, it's a great, unique entry for a country gunning for a win.

Have Armenia decided that if you can't beat them join them and selected a song which could quite easily be representing their arch enemy Azerbaijan ? Much better than last year (not hard) but needs a good performance to sell it.

Good voice, deep song but boring, maybe a lot will like it, but it`s not my style

Daniel

This is this year's "Love Injected". This will work. Hoping for a strong vocal and brilliant staging.

This is a very interesting song, with absolutely fantastic production and a unique structure. I like how it’s a bit different to your usual Eurovision mid-tempo song. This is going to stand out a mile and with the right production I think this could do very well for Armenia , and a possible top five finish!

Where to begin? I've no idea what language she is harshly singing in (if this is the recorded version, heaven help us when she sings it live). Another one of those generic slices of doom that shuffle along, offering nothing new before fizzling out completely.

David E

Ooh - Drama!  That opening is immense... then it just kind of trundles along like a 50's Douglas Sirk melodrama.  Lots of gorgeousness to look at, but not a lot going on of any substance.  I do like it, though.

Dean

What a disappointment! I was expecting great things from this. Obviously a good singer but the song is disjointed and odd. it's an entry that's very hard to warm to!

4

Eddie

Great production and love the ethnic touches. Not to sure about the air raid noise but it should do well. I want it to build more but it doesn't deliver but still a good track.

7

Gary

The song that starts a minute too late? Stunning singer and I expect a stand-out performance, but it takes too long to get going. Maybe they will start with the siren on stage instead which would pull people in. From the halfway mark it feels like a real song, up to then, it’s hard to tell. Has the potential to wow nonetheless.

The video of this is really powerful, and the song certainly grabs one's attention. Armenia are going big with this, but I can't help but think this has potential to be a complete and utter mess on stage. Will be interesting to see how it works live. I like it though.

She's very pretty - but what is she on about?  Odd song, very messy.  Not a fan.

Martin

A bold departure away from normal Eurovision fare, 'LoveWave' has a spoken start and is slow paced throughout with its musical fusion of Western pop and Armenian ethnicity.  A difficult song to work out on first listen, everything hinges on Iveta's vocals being perfect live and the staging being excellent.

Matt

Well she said it "ooooh-wooh-oo-woo".  This starts out promising with that seductive whispering but then dissolves into a horrid noisy mess.  At least they are doing something 'different' I guess - just glad not everyone else is doing so too. But like the ending!

2

Nico

A 4min 30 song over in 3 minutes.. It takes half the song to get going - cue the fantastic stage show to fill the time, or is it just pretentious claptrap? Hard to tell right now. There's certainly potential for something extremely powerful if she can just get her boots out of the heavy mud she seems weighed down in. In the interest of fairness, the EBU should have kept last years voting system for the semi-finals as Armenia is now a permanent qualifier no matter what they send.

6

Sally-Ann

Set to be THE most dramatic performance of the night, this song is the Tate Modern of entries - genius to some, baffling to others.  At least, to my mind, it's interesting and different.  A sure bet for the final.

Tristán

I must say, I'm quite excited by the staging Iveta is going to have for this, there's a lot of potential there. On a normal year this one would pass me by but I love the ethnic touches to this song, it just seems to be over far too soon. I think this is a definite qualifier, though, and could become a dark horse.
