Very interesting choice by Austria . I think it's a cute song, and it fits Zoe very well. Overall, it's just very forgettable. Other than it being sung in French, there is nothing dynamic or standout about this entry.

What was Austria thinking? I think this song is nice and it has the wow factor but again nothing special. The visual effects are good and it helps. I think because is in French it will qualify and get votes from the French speaking regions and countries.

Christos

A pleasant time with the original choice of French verse. If it was Sweden would definitely say ...to the final .... but Austria will struggle to qualify once again,

7

Daria

Very mediocre song, but “sweet freakness” makes it unforgettable. I hope she will keep those giant mushrooms as a backdrop. However it’s not that kind of freak songs that usually qualify to the final.

Douwe

The first Austrian entry to be sung entirely in French, this is fresh, sweet, simple and cute but I am not sure that it will be strong enough to set the scoreboard on fire. There are similarities here with Anna Rossinelli's 'In Love For A While' and it could be good to stick with the gorgeous graphics, again reminiscent to Anna in 2011.If ZOË makes the final she will gather a few points here and there but not a winner.

Elena

Very cute song, but apparently the singer can't handle it as the high note disappears every time. I like that she sings in French and the stenography is really cool, but it gets boring.

I think this is a great choice for Austria . I like that it is sung in French, I like the lyrics, and I can see that many ESC fans will be dancing to this many times during Eurovision week. Strong song and definitely a qualifier.

A great background, a fresh song and a very charismatic singer is the whole merit of this song, that is now the 7th wonder, but still very nice one

A pleasant little ditty but I am concerned that it may not stand out from the rest in Stockholm

Melissa

I'm not really a fan of this - it's just a little sickly-sweet for my liking. I'm actually surprised it managed to win a national final because it's not a song that will have viewers at home running for their phones to cast votes for it.

She has a sweet voice and the rhythm is great. Cute song, pretty girl but melody too repetitive. I think it needs a different staging and she needs a different outfit. it's just sent many years too late.

A very nice and sweet entry from Austria , the staging was very nice, really suits the song. And of course I love that she sings in French. I hope to see it at the final.

Now we´re talking ....good old fashioned ESC -song ! The flowergirl gets 9 points from me . Fine song , fine melody !

Roberto

A song in French for Austria . Nice idea but the song is a bit repetitive and it goes nowhere few times. I only fear the risk of moving from a brilliant attempt to a weak caricature of an interesting uptempo

I think Austria deserves points for Non-English and Non- home language song. French is one of my least favourite languages but we were drawn to Eurovision because of songs in different languages and it should not be all English. Zoe also demonstrated that you should try again if you do not win first time, like Conchita did. I do not think Zoe will go on to win Eurovision but this song is sure to make the final.

Super-sweet, this sounds like a modernized version of something I'd find on the Amelie soundtrack. I worry it might not have a massive impact on the scoreboard, since it is a bit subtle, but it's pleasant!

Yes, it is more than a little old fashioned and  yes it does have more than a passing resemblance to Joe le Taxi but I love it. Was ready to give up after the early performances and so happy it won against two other songs more favoured by the jury!

OK Austria is now my best so far, i liked it instantly i heard it, and this is why i like eurovision because of songs like this. I really like the fact that shes is singing in french, and this is how it`s supposed to be, i really hope it dose well, it`s a nice song and shes got a nice voice, i look forward to seeing this on the night.

I loved Zoë last year when she sang Quel Filou and I love her this year too. Loin D'ici is a lovely song and she performs it well. Hopefully Europe will like it because this deserves a lot more than the big fat zero that they ended with last year.

A song in French? For Austria ? Well there is a first! This is just lovely! I loved Zoë last year and I am so glad she finally has the chance to go to Eurovision. This is catchy, sweet and definitely an improvement on last year’s entry. I think this will definitely qualify and it is sure to be a fan favourite! Allez L’Autriche!

Now every contest needs something that is jolly and bordering on the twee. Dear old Zoe is channelling her inner Sophie Carle in this lovely bit of froth. Maybe 2016's guilty pleasure!

8

This is quirky, saccharin and rather jolly.  I think it'll do well, and see Austria in it's third successive final.  Possible Top 10?

A fabulously old fashioned Eurovision entry which swept away all the modern stuff in the national final. I love this charmingly poppy and innocent song. Hope it does well in Stockholm !

Eddie

Surprising but i really like it. Sounds like a recent French pop hit but she sells it really well. Love the walk way.and the simplicity of the performance. In an era of big productions, this stands out. a finalist for me.

I’m taken back to 1984 and Sophie Carle (Lux) – a sweet girl singing a French ditty in the style of Vanessa Paradis. It’s nice, but maybe too light and I can’t see it setting the scoreboard alight.

Now here is a surprise. Austria singing in French, and why not?! This is really charming and staged very well. Very pretty and I can see this doing rather well.

Not really my thing - really sickly sweet and something you would have heard in an early 90s contest.  She's got a nice voice but something about her irritates me.

An Austrian singing an up-tempo French chanson, sounding like Vanessa Paradis? Not the best French language song I've ever heard but a pleasant surprise nevertheless, given the vocal excellence and enthusiastic performance of ZOË.  The childlike sound, fairytale backdrop and bridal gown did make it all very saccharine however.

Matt

Taking away the unfortunate title and it's English connotation, this isn't too bad and one of the best picked thus far.  That said, it's not saying too much as while enjoyable, the last minute of so sounds like a stuck record.  Nice voice and stage pressence though.

7

Nico

Very sweet, perhaps overly so. By the end of the song I feel a bit of toothache coming on.  My only issue is that it starts out rather promising, but doesn't quite build enough for any kind of crescendo. Good for Austria for trying something different, but I do believe if I heard it on ESC radio (other stations are available), I'd swear this was a "Eurovision classic" from the 80s. I hope it works out for them.

I love this Vanessa Paradis-style pop song.  It's lilting melody sounds SO much better in French than it would've done in German! A good live performance will give Austria its best result since Conchita.

8

Tristán

Far less annoying than her attempt last year ("Quel filou") and overall a far stronger song. I would have far preferred Bella Wagner, Elly V or Sankil Jones but overall this is a sweet song that would suit Vanessa Paradis equally well. Should certainly qualify for the final.
