The song actually wouldn't be bad if someone else was performing it. Ivan completely lacks stage presence and that ruins the song for me. He needs some serious work before he gets to Stockholm

Now this song is the old fashioned Belorussian no taste crap. It has originality but not in a good way at all. This song will have no chance of qualifying.I think in that semi final its a contender  for last place.

This country is trying in vain to occupy a good position in the final night and organizes national finals although has very mediocre songs. The song is boring and I am sure he will stay out final. Maybe my worst this year.

It’s nice that we have another one pop-rock entry this year. I would recommend improving the chorus and make it more “anthem” in the line “how to fly”. Not the best song from the preselection, but potential qualifier, if they improve it and deliver well on stage.

Composed and produced by the same duo who also penned the Russian entries in 2005 and 2012, 'Help You Fly' can best be described as a metal, rock song. It sounds very dated to me and Ivan struggles with the higher notes. Leather pants and LED effects will not give Ivan the same success enjoyed by a certain Mr Zelmerlöw and I have to say I'm not very hopeful for the chances of Belarus even reaching the final in Stockholm .

I don't know if Belarus tried to be edgy or not... The singer is a bit off in both rhythm and tune which makes this raspy attempt to sound sexy fall flat. The song is ok though.

Whiney voice. Repetitive song. Pointless lyrics. Surely won’t go through to the Final. And that is not a shame at all.

I like a lot the song, it's the kind of song I was expecting ... however in the other hand, I doubt it will be appreciated by people and I fear it will remain in semi-finals. Good luck Ivan!

Quite like the song but why do they try to copy the background graphics fro last years winner. Couldn’t they come up with something original?

Well Ivan's song starts off well, and I actually think that the song itself is quite decent. His vocals, however, are in need of some work, and I really hope he gets some intense coaching before May. Especially on that high note - oh dear.

Octavio

It's a good song, actually, especially the chorus is nice, but it's need a revamp, he needs to improve vocal skills, charisma and stage presence.

Well, it sounds like an awful cheap rock song. Ivan has a good voice but the song is pretty bad. I don't see the point to that entry.

I like this , but I don´t think it´s a winner.I can´t imagine him staying as the winner on the stage, but he will take it to the final ( I hope ) Strong voice

Nice pop-rock trend, but something is missed, maybe his voice. So, this entry could lose the necessary thickness, turning a bit into a weak tune. They have to refresh something in it and change, maybe, the predictable special effects. A good song overall.

Ivan looks like someone I had seen before. The song HELP YOU FLY is not going to get me flying to the top, but it also is not going to end up last on my list. It is an easy fir the ear song without taking you to the heights you would like to go. It is, however, miles better than their entry last year.

This sounds so unbelievably dated, I feel like I should be listening to this while wearing acid-washed jeans, a ripped Guns n' Roses t-shirt, and enough hairspray to become a fire hazard.

Whilst Minsk is a capital I would rush to visit if Belarus won I'm going to have to wait a little longer for the chance. The Belarusian people know what they like and so do we - long hair and soft rock. With the variety of songs a missed opportunity..

Not that too keen on this and I shall give it 3 points, I have heard worst songs before but this is not far from them. I thought it was going to be a good song in the beginning, but then it went suddenly boring. I think the lyrics are a bit funny too. I can`t see this one qualifying, but if it dose then I have got no idea, but i guess some people will like it and vote.

I like the song but don't know what else Ivan can do with it to make it stand out. His vocals aren't great and the song will probably get lost.

Danny

As soon as I heard this I KNEW this would win the National Final. It’s so typically Belarussian and as a song it’s not bad. Unfortunately Ivan is an absolutely terrible singer and he completely ruins it. No amount of vocal coaching can save this from being a complete car crash in Stockholm

Belarus proves, year after year, that they do not 'get' Eurovision. Yet again the contest gets lumbered with some hopelessly performed, outdated slice of  . . . whatever. Pop? Currently this one looks and sounds awful. Much polishing will need to be done if this is going to make an impact. It really wouldn't bother me if Belarus withdrew forever.

The song itself isn’t bad, and the staging in their final was good (if a tad Heroes inspired!). However, I can’t really get past his dreadfully flat singing and his complete lack of stage presence and I think this is going to be their downfall - unless they go all out to train him up over the next few months. As it is right now it’s a no-hoper.

More rock pop from Belarus . This will really struggle to qualify. It's not bad, but it's just not that memorable.

I love the production of the track. But the voice and the vocal line don't fit. His performance is too handy! Needs a makeover.

4.5

Gary

Punchy and not a bad voice, but the chorus feels very dated. Could this be one that they turn from a rock style to a pop style? They haven’t really lit my fire since ‘Work Your Magic’.

4

Joe

They had far better than this in their final. The song itself isn't too bad, but the performance needs a LOT of work. Ivan comes across as an amateur

Who knows whether this will actually be the song and/or Singer than Belarus will eventually send, but it's inoffensive.  Bit dull.  And can we talk about his hair?

4

Martin

'Soft rock hits Stockholm ' shocker! Although the best offering at Eurofest, IVAN is a bit 'Chad Kroeger lite' - his voice is distinctive but the song could do with the vocal power of someone like Meatloaf to grip the listener and make them believe in the lyrics. Likely non-qualifier.

Matt

I'm sorry but if he was my pilot I'd never learn to fly.  A grating voice which is not pleasant to listen to. The melody is interesting but that's not saying too much. But will it remain the entry? No amount of long-locks flicking will help this I'm afraid.

Nico

Bring this man more eggs, his pudding is lacking! If this were Azerbaijan you know there'd be a kitchen sink coming his way, and he rather needs one. He doesn't quite get too far off the ground with this one, but he does pleasantly hover. Most likely it's a lot less bovver for him. Most likely it won't bovver anyone else either.

Sally-Ann

Another live vocal that needs work.  This rocky number lumbers along with a promising verse but unforgettable chorus, producing an entry that will be lucky to qualify.

3

Tristán

I love this song, it's immediately memorable and while I am so sorry Kattie's "Rainbow" was disqualified, this is a dark horse for me and I can see it being up there in my final top 10.
