Prime example of an entry that could land Germany in the top 10 or bottom 10 depending on how it looks in Stockholm . I thoroughly enjoy the song and think Jamie-Lee is very charismatic, but the staging needs some help.

This song will not fail so badly as last year but for me it is nothing special.I just cant see it high on the scoreboard. It is one of those songs which are nice, good to listen, pretty stylish but still instantly forgettable. Sorry Germany this year is not yours again

In a modest year Germany strives for something good, good sound but the stage presence wants treatment. UNFORTUNATELY Europe will vote against Germany for purely political reasons because he has the power and it shows ... I like that song ...

It’s not my cup of tea, besides Rihanna’s “Umbrella” is all I can think about when I listen to the chorus. But I’m sure Germany will deliver an unforgettable staging, and be ready for this song to get stuck in your head!

Jamie-Lee with a colourful style (The Voice of Germany 2015) will sing the haunting and melancholic 'Ghost' in the style of Lorde's minimalist pop. Last year Germany failed to score a  point. This must surely bring an improvement in fortune (it's a cool, modern pop song) but I don't think it's a winner. Perhaps just a little too gloomy, serious and rather repetitive. Jamie-Lee is talented but at times during the live performance she sounded nervous and shaky and hopefully this can be rectified.

Can I have her outfit please? And that was pretty much the only exciting thing in this performance. Song is boring, voice is nothing special, charisma i lacking...just, no.

Frederico

I don’t get this at all. Dislike it immensely. Germany nul points? Most probably.

After 2 years of very dull entries, Germany has an improvement with ghost, however I don't thing this song reflects the quality that one imagine of the German musical scene.

An interesting little ditty from Germany . I kind of like it but it doesn’t really grab you. May struggle stand out and pick up votes

The song is very good, but lacking in any progression, so I don't know if it will stay in people's memories once the other 25 songs have performed. Her voice needs some serious work and that outfit is a total mess! You can dress in a quirky manner and still have some connection with what you're singing, however this was such a clash... She looks like she belongs in some uptempo Momoiro Clover Z pop video. Good luck Jamie-Lee because you're going to need it...

Great pop song and fantastic singer. The staging of the song it's beautiful. She's quirky, cool, has awesome style, a fabulous voice and the song is catchy, but her costume needs changing. She has a very good chance of winning.

Well, this one is not for me, a bit too boring and repetitive for my taste. I can see this one on the bottom end of the final scoreboard.

Pia

Simple but a fine little song. I hope she will change clothes to the final ....

Very disappointed with this German entry, Nothing special, it sounds repetitive and it is utterly boring and weak. Her look, also, doesn't help her. The performance was static and almost expressionless. I really can't listen to it entirely. Sorry Germany .

First of all, I dislike the title, GHOST. Jamie has a good voice and I can see why 500 000 people voted for her, it is a big chunk of voters. But the song leaves me cold, does not send shivers down my spine. But Germany should get a better place on the scoreboard than the last two years.

Samantha

I am really enjoying this. She's adorable without being "cutesy"...feels like a teenager's journal entry set to music, without being horribly cliche. Song is current and modern, and I can't stop listening to it.

Possibly the most difficult decision so far this year. 10 very different songs, 6 possibles for the top spot. Happy that Ghost won over Nur ein Lied but would have been equally happy with Mystery of a Blood Red Rose. Winning song is very contemporary with shades of Lena and deserves to do very well.

Reminds me a lot of another song I've heard from the charts. However I think the song is boring and not a winner. When I was listening to it I just couldn't wait for it to finish.

I feel a bit short-changed by Jamie-Lee winning with her winners single from The Voice. However, it is very good and I hope it'll do well for Germany . They really deserve a good result.

7

Danny

This is quite a contemporary track and Jamie-Lee stands out due to her very unique look, which I hope she doesn’t change. I think she is a very endearing and likeable performer and I don’t think Germany have to worry about getting nul points this year, but it’s not a winner either.

She needs to get rid of the loopy headgear . . .  Jamie-Lee hit some odd low notes in the final but overall this is a good performance of a dark little number. Better than last year? Probably although I did like Ann Sophie. Left-hand side of the scoreboard for Germany . . . I hope!

David E

A modern, classy pop song sung by a great wee singer with a kookie image.  What's not to love?  I see this doing rather well in the final.  Probably not another Lena , but I wouldn't be unhappy if she went Top 10 with Ghost.

This is ok but feels a bit lacklustre. I can see Germany languishing near the bottom of the scoreboard again.

4

Eddie

I love the production and feel of the song. The voice needs to be stronger and the outfit just distracts for the overall effect.I like it alot but want a few changes before taking to the stage in the Globen.

This is a modern contemporary sound, ably sung by a young ‘Voice’ winner. It could be compared to last year’s zero-score entry (zero not deserved) but I think this will do better anyway, due to her image and relevance to the youth market. One of the better songs chosen to date.

8

Joe

Nice but the song is a bit bland, even if she isn't. It's not a bad song, but I think this could be another last place for Germany .

5

Mark M

I really like this song and the singer is quirky and confident. Best German entry for a while and could do very well.

Melancholy lyrics, atmospheric score, hauntingly powerful vocals all at odds with the visual package of a 17 year old girl obsessed with Manga outfits!  'The Voice of Germany' is totally the focus and rightly so, Jamie-Lee's simple but sublime delivery of this entry could be the sleeper hit this year.

Matt

If you'll forgive the pun, this is a rather 'haunting' tune but I can't say it really gets me wanting to vote for it.  Perhaps it's her 'look'?  Not sure how this will do in Sweden .

6

Nico

Not known for their fashion sense, one still can't help but scream what the heck were you thinking people!!? Other than that, this a splendid chart worthy song, delivered with confidence, if slightly awkwardly, and a great vocal. Ghost is certainly haunting and should end up on the left hand side after the completely undeserved placing last year. There's still work to be done, but it's already very, very good.

8

Sally-Ann

I no longer watch the German final as the best song never wins.  This year is a prime example, and Germany will struggle to reach double points again with a song that starts and ends going precisely nowhere.  Sub-High School Musical stuff.

Tristán

It's OK, but a bit dull. It wouldn't qualify if it were in a semifinal. I was rooting for Keoma or Joco, so was disappointed when Jamie-Lee won, but it could have been so worse. It could so nearly have been Alex Deihl, for some unfathomable reason. So, thank the stars for small mercies.
