No one is going to remember anything about this song or performance. The second I began listening to it, I opened up another Internet tab and the song immediately turned into background noise. The effort is there, but I don't see this working out for Montenegro .

Now this country has just ruined any kind of chance of getting out of the semi final.I like rock songs and I get them, but this is just noise and it will crash on the Eurovision stage. I like when a country is trying but this is extreme, and it is extreme in a bad way. Maybe next year Montenegro .

A boy band again for the country. Boy band and nothing special regarding the song and probably outside of the  final evening. Rather the beautiful days are over for the ambitious and tiny Montenegro . The national broadcasting authority RTCG will have to find better options if Podgorica wants to become a host city. There is a kind of a Balkan sound and unfortunately neither some philosophy. Pity. Bad song

It’s just so unexpected! Boys band went “underground” and once again Montenegro doesn’t care about chances to qualify to the final and what eurofans want to hear at the contest. Say Yes to diversity!

Variety is the spice of life and this is certainly different compared with the last two entries from Montenegro . 'The Real Thing' is a rather odd combination of heavy rock and diverse electronic styles. This is hard enough, wilful, has plenty of substance and is not at all pretty but it also sounds very messy and uneasy. As the writer of song said, the guys are 'quite brave' for going to Sweden with this kind of song. This is a huge gamble and I doubt there will be a place in the final for Montenegro this year.

My brain just refuses to take in this song. I actually like that many countries tries to stand out and make more individual entries instead of the safe, typical esc-pop, but this is just a big miss. The monotone, low singing makes my brain fuzzy and the lights might bring on an seizure...

Gosh I am not sure what this is supposed to be. I really dislike it. Nothing going for it in my view. A definite non-qualifier.

The soft part of the song sounds like oasis in the middle of hell, that's why I'm giving some little points to this entry. No thank you Montenegro !

This song has everything I hate about music in it. Tuneless rockers with no direction. Bring Back Lordi!

This is brilliant! My only complaint is that the vocals get pretty lost, but aside from that I love it! Bravo!

There's nothing else like it this year. It's not a bad song in his genre but to defend this you need a singer with a really powerful voice and there isn't one there. The realest thing is no final this year.

Another original entry for Montenegro and I really like it - It's a nice rock song, I love the instrumental and the vocals. Will it work this year in Stockholm ? - or will it flop like Igranka (which I loved), it's hard to say. But I hope to see this one in the final.

From the top to the bottom!!! NO NO NO What is this? I don´t find words for this..... My ears are crying.

Alternative/nu metal rock songs usually are less considered by ESC fans. It's not my kind of music and it leaves me cold, very uninterested. Probably the main idea is good, and they have some talent, but the whole result is stodgy, pretty inconclusive. I can't imagine myself listening to it for more than 20 seconds. Sorry Montenegro

I had expected something similar to Cyprus , now this is not the real thing for me. I can hardly see the members of Highway and a woman dancing the entire time just did not seem fitting to the song. I also was not able to hear much of the lyrics, the voices are not clear and strong enough. I am afraid, although nit as bad as Georgia , this will go nowhere and not make the finals.

I was really looking forward to having more quality rock in the contest this year, but this goes nowhere for me. It doesn't really build up to any sort of climax...it's just sort of there.

I've loved the Montenegrin entry for the past two years but looking back they have had some quite off beat entries and this year falls in that category. Again they'll just be making up the numbers with a song chosen to represent them but with no chance of winning or most likely even qualifying...

I am not really too keen on this, a modern rock song perhaps,  but not for me, I doubt this will qualify, there are better rock songs in the contest this year that will shadow this one

2

Daniel

I don't like it. I want big Balkan ballads from Montenegro . They were my favourite of the whole competition in 2014 and I loved "Adio" last year.

3

Danny

This is quite a brave choice for Montenegro , and a world away from their previous two entries. Even though I am not much of a fan of this kind of music, I just can’t see how anyone is going to vote for this, there’s no tune there, and just sounds like one big mess. Last place in the semi-final is certainly possible.

Even a rock song has to have some sort of discernible hook rather than hanging a few words on a guitar riff. Maybe this will come alive in an arena setting but to me it sounds laboured and disjointed. Oh - and dull.

3

David E

This is truly foul! By far my least favourite of the songs chosen so far. I hope to hear this only once, in the semi, and then never again!

Cripes, what's this? I guess it's ok if you're into this kind of sound. I'm not and I'm not sure the Eurovision audience will be either. It has energy and it could come across well live. But it's a long three minutes.

4

Eddie

Not my normal genre of like but it has something really different about it. Stands out from the others. It mixes many styles but in different ways. Hard to call but should be a finalist.

Montenegro did not learn from their spaceman experiment nor Finlan 2015 then. I was expecting a boyband melody (fooled by the ties I guess), but I get a slightly aggressive sounding combo with vocals that do nothing to make me want to like this. Sorry, sounds like too much bad attitude and surely a Eurovision misunderstanding.

Joe

I've tried, I really have tried to listen to this all the way through. 23secs is the furthest I've managed. It's too traumatic. Sorry.

Montenegro must think they never qualify anyway so let's just shove something in that will pain all the fans. Just awful.

What starts out as soft rock for the first twenty seconds becomes some strange electronica/guitar competition that totally swamps the rather basic and repetitive lyrical content of this entry.  Unless 'The Real Thing' is staged superbly, the change in genre from Balkan ballad to 'stoner rock' will mean Final non-qualification.

5

Matt

On first hearing I really didn’t like it.  It’s a lot better on second hearing but most folk won't get that chance.  Still not my kind of thing but it could have been worse and it does bring variety to the contest.

5

Nico

I actually don't mind this. There's a raw authenticity to it that somehow appeals to me. Ordinarily I would not mind seeing this in the final, as I like a bit of diversity and if it were in the much weaker semi 2 it might stand a chance, but in this much stronger semi, I think only one rock song will progress and it won't be this one, unless they have some kind of amazing stage show gimmick up their sleaves. Shame though as this is a brave choice.

Shades of New Order and Nirvana may make odd bedfellows, but this is Montenegro , after all.  Not to my taste whatsoever and I predict a final position in the 40's for them this year.

Tristán

Entertaining cross-over there but no chance of getting to the final. I quite like it but again, but it's not really getting to me. As have a lot of song this year. Could be better, but I'm not averse to having different styles in Eurovision
