I’m not completely blown away by the entry; however, I know Ira has the potential to make some strong adjustments. The song as is is memorable, powerful, and commands the stage, but it currently lacks a climax. I am eager to see this song build and evolve into a strong entry.

This song is decent. Its nice and the singer can sing and it looks like a pop star. Still I think Malta will be a borderline qualifier. The first semi final its a little bit easier but Malta will fight for the last places to qualify. The song itself is catchy and with a good show it might work. We will see.

I never understood how that boring song took second place in 2002. The return of the singer is not the return of the Messiah for Malta . Country with a population of less than 1,000,000 residents have to defeat since Luxembourg in 1983 ... Could it be Malta this year? I have so many doubts about it.

I like the title, but I want more tragedy, more mystery in the song. Otherwise they will not qualify again. But Ira kinda promised to change the song. Besides, Eurovision provides plenty of options to make a performance unforgettable. I’m sure Malta will try some of them. No windmachine please!

Ira returns 14 years after a 2nd place with '7th Wonder'.  The years have been kind as she still looks wonderful and there is no doubt that she is a great artist and obviously with more experience than in 2002. There is potential here but at the moment this sounds a little 'thin' and rough around the edges. Perhaps a work in progress but this is not as catchy or as instant as it needs to be and it is definitely lacking something at the moment.

This sounds like a weak, upbeat copy of Lorene and Euphoria. Very uninteresting. Pretty girl with ok voice, ok song (at it's best) and boring performance.

2

Frederico

The best song selected so far, which in itself is not saying much. I think Malta is more than likely to change the song as this is definitely not a winner. It is quite ‘nice’ though Ira was not great on the national final, and she needs to work on her voice and performance.

Yes! I like this entry. It is a pleasure to have Ira back to Eurovision, however the show must improve A LOT, if they don't make a great show the song will stay in semifinal, but the song is nice and whort an effort

I know that Malta usually do quite a bit of post selection work to their song, and with this I think this could be a contender

Well Ira Losco was pretty much a shoe-in ever since the participant list for Malta 's Eurosong was announced, and whilst I don't think her song will set the scoreboard alight it is one of the better songs selected so far. Malta were on the right track last year, and I thought they were totally robbed of a final's place, but this year they may need to brace themselves for disappointment 2 years in a row.

It's a decent song, Nice song, mediocre performance, but she really needs to change the song With good staging it can qualify

Hmmm not for me. Boring, a mix of recent Eurovision entries put together and voilà this year's Maltese entry. The only bit I liked was perhaps the violin sound

Typical ESC-song, but we have had Loreen and Carola already ( this is like a mix of them ....) It´s quite nice , but nothing I will remember as a great song ....

Oopss she did it again ! For her comeback, she has a more classy and cogent look and a brilliant song, miles away from the glitter in Tallinn . Sure to see her in the Grand Final, we hope now for a great stage performance and a deserved decent placement.

I liked Ira a lot in 2002 when she as 20 year old took part for Malta with 7th wonder. This song is no 8th wonder, but it is a nice song and she has matured in a good singer. Interesting is that the subtitle is Invincible and so she is going to Stockholm with such a title when Sweden itself took such a title to Eurovision in 2006. Will this  title again score well? I hope so for Malta ’s sake.

While I'm thrilled to see Ira return, I feel like "Chameleon", in its current form, is lacking something. Vocals are good, it builds nicely, but it's missing something I can't put my finger on. A revamp may help.

For the first time I can remember I found nothing to cheer at the Maltese final. Pretty dull selection with a semi expected win for Ira. Second time lucky? I fear not. Can't even see it qualifying.

his like a mix between something from the Scandinavian finals and Israel, though it gets the foot tapping, rather funky, i can imagine it being played at the after party, however in my opinion a bit tacky and cheesy, I`m not that too keen and will give it 4. Wonder knows if it will make the final, but i reckon it should not, but who can tell.

Daniel

I love Ira Losco but this so weak. Let's hope they change it!

This was the BIGGEST surprise winner ever. Not. I do like this but I do feel it has something missing, it’s pleasant but I think she could do so much better, and based on this I think she would struggle to qualify. Rumours are she is planning on changing the song though. Which could be a good thing.

It's always fun to see an old face back in the contest . . . unless it's with something as dull as this. Mooching around the stage with a tea towel on your head isn't going to garner many votes and neither is this mediocre pop chugger. Ira looked bored and disinterested throughout the voting sequence in the final as well she might. A certain section of fandom might be frothing at the gills but the rest of Europe  won't be as enthusiastic.

This is the Eurovision equivalent of a Chinese carry-out. Hits the spot just when you need it and satisfies your need - and yet a while later you’re craving something else because you're not quite satiated. I do like this and I’m sure it’ll do well in Stockholm , I just wish it was a bit more substantial!

8

Dean

Already we're seeing Mans' winning song influencing the style of entries this year. Not my favourite song from the Maltese selection, but this is a strong entry, and, with a bit more of a stage show, will surely qualify.

8

Eddie

Great to see Ira back. Fab song with a Coldplay feel. The performance is lacking a certain something but should see them into the final

8

Gary

Is it good? Is it bad? Am I simply going mad? Well this song tells me that I am over the glorious/victorious/ euphoria thing, so this sounds a bit contrived and dated to me. A shame as I expected more.

6

Joe

Nice to see Ira back. I wasn't a huge fan of 7th wonder, but I do like this. Nice to see Malta return to a bit of schlager too. Hurrah!

8

Mark M

I really didn't like Ira's song in 2002, but this is a much better song and I think it could do quite well.  She's a nice enough singer and it's catchy.  Best song selected so far for me.

'The Queen of Malta', Ira knows how to perform passionately on stage and gives huge amounts of emotion to her vocals in 'Chameleon', even if that is at the expense of her voice being borderline in tune.  This entry won't be another '7th Wonder' result-wise though, in my opinion.

7

Matt

I might be in the minority but this is a huge disapointment.  It has masses of potential but I found myself losing interest in this after about a minute. I don't think she sings that well and change the frock! It isn't a 7th wonder of the ESC-world I'm afraid

5

Nico

All so preordained and yet leaves one distinctly underwhelmed. Really nothing to it, even Warrior was better than this. The small glimmer of hope is that Maltese TV reserves the right to change the song, so fingers crossed for Ira and for Malta , otherwise it's another year staying in the semis.

5

Sally-Ann

I'm not convinced by this Euphoria-lite - Ira strains for those high notes and it doesn't make for easy listening.  I imagine the record version will be a fan hit but the live performance needs plenty of work.

4

Tristán

This is a very poor generic song and I am unconvinced about Ira Losco's live singing. The song is boring and I'm sorry but this will end mid table if it's lucky to get through to the final, which I doubt.
