A very unexpected and impressive entry from Serbia this year! The voice, the lyrics, and the music are all spot on (her English is also very impressive if I may add)! A definite top 10 contender.

Fantastic song, singer it is a real peace of diamond.I like this entry a lot. This will help Serbia to be in the top 5 even a contender to.She has great charisma the song is very fresh, powerful, international.Love it a lot.

Some Eurofans informed me that this song is amazing, when I first listened it I wasn't amazed. Perhaps it's her voice or maybe her stage performance, I found it quite over- estimated. It has nothing to do with last year's participation of Serbia. I prefer for Serbia to hold national finals it is more fascinating. Good effort but the result is good ...simply good. She will proceed to the final but that's the story.

Sanja is a very good singer, but "Goodbye" is too much of everything. The structure of the song reminds me of the Bosnian 2011 entry and it's very simple. It could be a good #5 song from a good album of a pop-rock singer.

This deals with a sensitive issue ie destructive love which turns into psychological and physical violence at some point. Sanja looks like Maria Callas and Nina Zilli and sounds like Amy Winehouse and there is a lot of emotion and strength here although the question begs, was she singing live ?  The instrumental after the first chorus is lovely (the typical Balkan sound works nicely) and the string arrangements make it more dramatic. Finalist ? yes, winner ?, no and care must be taken not to overdramatise.

The song is not much to bring to the table, but what on earth is this woman doing? What I assume is an attempt at bring out feelings to the song looks more like a seizure  and the 20's outfit with the 50's makeup make all this look even more bizarre.

This is for me the song to beat. I love everything about it. The melody, the voice, the quirkiness of the singer. What a fantastic song.

A very theatrical performance of Sanja. I like it more for the performance of her, than for the song itself. Sure finalist

This singer is FABULOUS! as is her makeup artist!! I really want this song to do well. one of my favourites this year

One of the best entries they've ever sent to the contest. I'm a little sad they don't have the Balkan sound which they're known for, but this is so, so good.

Music is amazing. She's very expressive with personality and has a great voice  and sounds interesting. It's strong and probably the best instrumentals out of all entries. I  am convinced that it will look amazing on stage, and  If they could somehow make it more powerful near the end it would really be amazing.

Nice one Serbia ! Sanja has a lovely voice, powerful and emotional. Always nice to hear some violin. This will for sure be in the final, but I don't think it's a winner.

Someone´s trying too hard ? Tired of these ballads, weird !

Terrific, powerful vocals, glittering melodies. Finally less plastic-cheap-pop melodies for a special, classy, compelling entry. Breathtaking. I like it very much. I hope she will do a very good performance.

In the 90’s Bosnia had a song called “Goodbye” which I love and so I had high hopes for this one. Well, this is goodbye for me. It reminds me of one of my hate songs from 1992, from Italy and all I again see is a big mouth and red lips and I did not hear anything of the song.

This grabbed me immediately. Sanja has a flair for the dramatic, and a voice to back it up. I also appreciate that this is a message song, focusing on abuse in relationships, but the message isn't completely overwhelming (like "Running" was in 2014).

Wow. More than a touch of Nina Zilli and Amy Whitehouse. This has everything it needs. A positive message, high drama, accomplished arrangement, a singer with bags of personality and a hint of the power of the final chorus of Molitva. Back to Belgrade in 2017? Suits me fine!

This is quite good, wasn`t expecting this when i started watching it, this should do well, it`s a really good song and she’s a good singer

Daniel

Wasn't expecting something like this from Serbia. It's very, very good. Can't wait to see this live!

This is a really catchy song which I think the juries are going to love, and I really love how the song builds to a fantastic key change. It reminds me a little of Maja Keuc’s No One from 2011. I think this could give Serbia another top 10, but if I had one piece of advice for Sanja, it would be to tone down the dramatics a little in her performance, which is a little off-putting in the preview video.

Do you think she might enjoy the odd Adele CD? The wobbly head movements make her look somewhat odd rather than 'artistic'. It's all lovely and dramatic though and it feels like Serbia might be on to something with this. Sailing towards the top ten.

Loving the Amy Winehouse vocalising. This is simply stunning. For me this p*sses all over poor Kaliopi’s chips as THE standout ballad of the year! I could easily see this in the Top 3, if not even winning the whole thing. Superb entry!

Now we're talking. This is a quality entry! It grabs you from the start and just gets better as it continues. This is going to do very well, and deservedly so.

Dramatic, anthemic and a great track with a key change. I really like this - different feel but great passion. A little too theatrical in places but nothing bad.

What a nice surprise from Serbia. Her angst-ridden jerky style might put some voters off, but I like the originality of this. Her Nina Zilli / Amy Winehouse aura could be a good thing, as will the little Balkan melodic interlude – nice touch. One of the better songs this year.

Omg, where did this come from?, it's definitely my favourite. Such a strong chorus and she looks like she'd be fun on a night out. Bravo Serbia!!

Mark M

She's bonkers - but I think she actually knows what she is singing about in English, which is always a bug bear of mine.  It's a strong song and with the right staging this could do well.

Martin

THE power ballad of 2016 - ZAA has the voice, energy, emotional delivery and the looks to give Serbia their best finish since 'Molitva'.  'Goodbye (Shelter)' gave me those 'winner' goosebumps - put all the focus on ZAA, let her deliver in Stockholm and Belgrade 2017 is a distinct possibility...

9

Matt

Traditional 'ESC' meets a more modern sound - sprinkle that with a powerful singer who is very theatrical in her performance and leave to cook for 3 minutes.  The result?  A great entry!

8

Nico

We like a bit of quirk at ESC and she sure makes herself unforgettable. The song is ballsy and laden with drama, while she is brassy and gutsy and delivers it with the gusto it requires. Surely a finalist.

8

Sally-Ann

Serbia's Amy Winehouse delivers a gutsy, jazzy number with an ethnic flourish, the likes of which we rarely see in ESC.  It's not my cup of tea but deserves applause for originality.

Fantastic. I can see this becoming my favourite. Sanja has a beautiful Amy Winehouse quality to her voice. I'm also delighted she's singing it in English in the end, because the lyrics are great and would otherwise be lost to most of the European audience. I am not sure how well it will do, it'll certainly qualify but although I think it should be a potential winner, after Germany came bottom last year with a similar sort of song, who knows.
