Am I the only one that thinks this sounds a little outdated (like something from 2002-2007)? I do like it, and it is catchy and memorable nonetheless, but we've heard it before. We all know that this will place in the top 3 with the public, but I am hoping that with the new point system that the juries will weigh this song down a bit because it is a little overrated.

I don't understand why Russia is again so high on the odds. Yes it is an ok song with a good artist and he will bring a good show but it has nothing original in it. Europe will dance on this and because it is Russia it will be an easy qualifier, but for me it is just on those heard it forgot it songs.

This year's winner is READY to travel all of us in St. Petersburg in 2017. Great voice & interpretation composition and lyrics from a country that everybody "hate" but at the same time everyone adores. Russia helped last year (by staeling votes from Italy) to bring the victory to a very good Sweden and EBU will pay her back by giving to Russia a nice bonus of points from the "Integrity" Juries . Let's go for a Russian victory then. A Very good song

I like the beat in the song, which reminds me of Eric Saade’s post-Eurovision songs. Unfortunately, I can’t feel that it’s Sergey’s song, but it’s a good produced tune.

One of the biggest stars in Russia heads to Stockholm . The song has incredible magnetism and power and a very  memorable chorus. Sergey is an accomplished artist and this is polished, dynamic and ready-made for the Eurovision stage yet is doesn't quite hit the spot. It sounds a little outdated and the lyrics are uninspired. As it stands this could well be the winner and be sure that  Russia will have a very creative, expensive and spectacular show but I prefer Dina and Polina.

Ok, this is not bad. It's very good actually and I expect nothing less from Russia at this point. But can we please stop with this eurovision-pop-techno already? I'm looking at you Russia and Sweden ! This genre has been played to death at this point at it's nothing new about it no matter how good the performance is. Still, it's a good song and will probably rank very high.

I haven't given this a 10 as there could still be a better song to be revealed, however unlikely that may be. I love this song and I would be very surprised if it won't win the whole thing in May. The song is great, and Sergey looks like he really is going to Stockholm to win it. The video is impressive and the whole thing is slick. My favourite so far (sorry France you are now my number 2)

I hate when a song is taken like the obvious winner, and this is like one can call the obvious winner. Sergei has all the fame to collect an easy victory based in votes of 9 of the 10 ex USSR republics. And still, I'm sure it will be a very remarkable show that will grant many votes from other nations. Winner alert definitely

I have to say I like the video but the song was really nothing special, at points I thought it was going to get better but it didn’t. Certainly not the worst song in the contest though.

Overall the song is very good. But to nitpick... the lyric "Thunder and Lightning/exciting" was a poor choice. The key change sounds awful. The video was beautiful and easily one of the best I'd seen of this year's contest... until the last 40 seconds. But it's a good entry, very solid. I'm very keen to see how this is performed live.

Great song. Finally song that catch the ear from the first to the last tune.  I like it, could be a winner. Sure song is a bit outdated, but he has simply no competition.

For sure Russia is taking Eurovision seriously and really looks like they want to win it again. It's a good song, I can predict a powerful staging from the Russians and that will end very high in the final. Having said that, I don't think it is an exceptional entry.

Dangerous, really dangerous.....This is ESC! Where do they find these good singers and songs year after year ?? Top 3 ! That´s for sure !

Very good entry, Brilliant and catchy, pure modern mainstream pop. He can sing and he gives now a more mature image and look, less provocative and cheeky than in the past (like in "Alarm" or in "Take it off"). Another real contender in a rather weak edition.

In 2004 a song called YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE of CROATIA was my top song for that year. Could it be that a song with the same title in 2016 will again be my top song for this year? It is brilliant – I love it. One of the best songs in the last 4 Eurovisions. Russia is really having great songs – 2013, 2015 and 2016 all in my top 3 at least. Its hard to give a 10 from just one listen, but ...

Great video, but this song seems like it was taken from 2006. I know that it's going to look incredibly slick and well-done in Stockholm , and will be a major contender for the win...but it took me 3 listens to be able to remember what the song sounded like.

The Sakis Rouvas of Russia singing a song from the same writer as 'This is our Night' which I love and think sounds very similar. Dimitris has done well with previous entries but never won. Does this have what it takes? Top 3 almost assured but perhaps just too formulaic?

Russia !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be the winner! This beats all of the rest for me truly! This song is good, it`s eurovision, it`s instant, no doubt this will win in my eyes i score it 10 or even more if i could

I didn't think much of it when I heard it first but it has definitely grown on me. I'm very interested to see how they will stage this in Stockholm . Another quality song from Russia .

Russia are definitely gunning for the win this year and this is a fan favourite but I do think it sounds a bit dated, like something Greece wound enter in 2006, and. I can see it winning televoting but I think the juries might prevent this from winning. Still, it will be good to dance to in EuroClub.

OK so no marks for originality but this is cheesy Euro pop of the highest order. No doubt there will be a good stage show to boost the flimsiness of the music but for me, it already feels like the 'guilty pleasure' entry for 2016. At least it isn't trying to force 'peace and harmony' down our throats!

This is all (rainbow) shades of fabulous and easily my fave song of the entire year! How clever of the Russians to out-gay the gays! This HAS to win in Stockholm !!! St Petersburg 2017! Woo Hoo!

10

Dean

On first hearing I was disappointed as I was expecting more. But its obvious Russia wants to win and this is going to be in the Top 3 without a doubt.

I knew after last year they would pull out all the stops. And here he is - Sergey! Top tune, great sound. Will be a huge stage production. Key change as well! Are we heading to Russia in 2017? Will take a big one to beat this!

This sounds both innovative and familiar at the same time. The style is not new, but this has power and attack and that’s what helps a song score well. Great energy and I’m sure there will be a great performance being prepared. I don’t think anyone could complain about this winning and I certainly won’t. This is how you do it! Great video too!

Heard this so many times before. The key change is ridiculous, he's very pretty and the song is catchy. I should be lapping this up, but for some reason I'm not feeling it. It sounds like a sakis rouvas reject song.

The clearly heterosexual Sergey has got a cracking video and strong pop song which guarantees Russia a top 5 finish. Winner? Possibly. He's straight you know.

7

Martin

Russia pulls out all the stops to send yet another barnstormer of an entry to Eurovision but for some reason it doesn't make me think 'winner'.  It's fast paced, well sung, Sergey ticks all the charisma boxes but the song itself lacks a 'killer blow'. Certain top 5 placing though.

This has been one of a very few that I have played on repeat.  Ok, so it is perhaps not the greatest piece of music ever written but the whole package had me listening to the end and foot-tapping.  This will do well.

Nico

I am pleasantly surprised that this is nowhere near as good as the precontest hype. That said, it's the standard catchy song of the Greek composer's formula and you can see in the video visula enticements that they will bring to the stage show. One can only hope that the audience will like it, but feel we've seen it all before. Of course he's a Russian star so there will be a huge affinity vote that could nudge him to victory, but the song is nothing special

7

Sally-Ann

This one ticks all the boxes - a good-looking, charismatic singer, an expert songwriting team, a contemporary pop song with a powerful hook....I have placed my bet on Moscow 2017 already.

9

Tristán

Oh no, it's looking like Russia 2017 isn't it? Of all the countries I didn't want to visit next year, Russia was one of them. But this is a good tune, is obviously going to have an amazing mise en scene with 3D projections, and I will stick my neck out to say this will probably win (of what we've seen so far). It's not great, but people will love it across Europe and the projections will give it the Måns effect.
