It sounds like a coffee shop band performance. Nothing stand out about this entry.

Unfortunately this year Slovenian entry is very average. It is a decent song, it is not bad it is nice to hear but it will not stand out.I think Slovenia will remain in the semi final. It will be close but I don't see this coming trough to the final. She has a good voice though and she has charisma.

Boring boring Boring... shame for Slovenia because following this concept it will never see the top five. Some countries will need to claim the Trophy and not just to participate. After last year's very good proposal this year's participation is below average. Sorry Slovenia the failure is your responsibility. Totally out of the Grand final .... changing clothes on the stage is very outdated and lackluster spectacle anymore ....

It’s a nice pop tune with guitar sound. There is nothing special about it, but it reminds me of good old days when pop-rock songs were in trend! Anyway, I think it’s a step back compared to Maraaya.

ManuElla and 'Blue And Red' with country / pop influences for  Slovenia. This is sweet and harmless but highly unlikely to better Slovenia 's highest placing to date. Indeed it is considerably weaker than their 2 most recent entries. There is a certain warmth and good vibe about the performance (nice to see an outfit change) but it is also rather shaky and if this is to stand any chance of reaching the final the vocals will have to be on point.

Seems like Slovenia has it's own Taylor Swift! Very modern pop-country song with strong Swift-influences (damnit, she even look like Taylor ). Not much energy but she looks so happy and cute and her voice is alright. I love the dress change.

Live performance was disturbingly out of tune but I think it ManuElla works on her vocals and performance this could do reasonably well in the semi-final and qualify.

Fourth consecutive year enjoying the slovenian selection, make this country now my favorite balcan nation in the last years in Eurovision. ManuElla has all the charm and the song has a very nice personality.

Eek! I really don’t like this at all. it feels so old fashioned and the singers voice leaves me looking for my earplugs!

I like the song, but find ManuElla to be very wooden on stage. I don't know if that's because of the costume reveal or not, but this doesn't look or sound that good live. It's almost like she's trying to reinvent herself as Taylor Swift during her "Fearless and "Speak Now" days.

Nice song a very good singer. These country/pop style songs can be hit and miss. For me it's a hit! It depends if it can engage the audience.

Meh. Nothing special about that song really, I don't see Slovenia in the final this year.

Finally a song with some tempo ! Light pop !I like !

This song has a quite striking start, nice country-oriented melodies, something original in the chorus, but it highlights some shortcomings and flaws. The singer has a very Taylor Swift look and the song has too many "yeah-yeah-yeahs" that make it weaker and less interesting. Pity, the whole idea was good.

Quite an interesting song, with a country flavour and a title with colours are great – hope countries with RED and BLUE in their flags all give it points. The singer could easily have been a Miss Slovenia. In think they may advance to the final for a 3rd year in a row.

A little bit of countrified pop a-la early Taylor Swift, this is simple and sweet with a cute little hook. It feels odd not to have Maraaya somewhere in the mix, but this isn't a bad pick from the Slovenes.

Wasn't at all convinced on first hearing of this but it has grown on me and I love the blue grass banjo sound. She should dispense with the costume change though,  it's just so last century!

I quite like this too, it`s a very catchy song and she sings it well, I would say this has to do well, it has a good tune.

Wasn't expecting country music from Slovenia . I'm disappointed that Nuša didn't win. I've wanted her to return for years! However, ManuElla is great. Just worried about the live vocal.

I really like this song but it reminds me a bit of Portugal last year in that it’s a nice enough song but I can’t see how anyone is going to vote for this. It’s a bit too anonymous to make any impact. After a run of qualifiers, I can’t see Slovenia making the final with this song.

I wasn't too keen on her live performance as her vocal was a little feeble in places and some of the lyrics unintelligible in others. A borderline song in many ways, possibly saved by the banjo-tinted country feel. I may get to love this one eventually but I'm not feeling it yet!

I've become quite passionate about "country pop" over the past few years, with the likes of Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw dominating my non-Eurovision playlists, so I'm really enthusiastic about this authentic sounding song making the cut from Slovenia .  This will stand out for being different, but also sounding very current.  It could give Slovenia a surprise Top 10 placing.

Not bad, but this takes far too long to get to the chorus. Ok but not really that memorable.

Eurocounty!! I love her as a performer - great presence. It feels like a typical eurovision song - MOR pop. And event has a costume change - something that has been missing recently. Hard to call this but it's a possible for the final.

I have an overwhelming feeling that I have heard this before. Nothing to make this stand out sadly. A fairly generic upbeat sing-a-long. Very well sung, but unremarkable. Even the outfit switch is clunky (and went white to red… where’s the blue?).

Joe

ManuElla is a competent enough performer of yet another mid tempo female vocal pop song. I like the country twang and the mandolin but there's not quite enough of a hook in the chorus to keep me going back to it. It's ok. Nothing more.

Mark M

Not exactly the most profound lyrics I've ever heard - not sure if the song is about the plight of the colour blind? Anyway, it's nice enough but not a winner.

Last year's EMA was a 'perfect storm' - this year, it's 'car crash'! ManuElla is trying to be Taylor Swift but Phoebe from Friends springs into my mind - the lyrics and her voice border on that almost comedic level and the staging is amazingly clichéd. Possible last placed semi-finalist.

And we are now down by the bayou listening to the banjo.  I do like this a lot as it's happy and jolly (and not too off key).  It does cry out for a more animated show though, rather than standing stock-still by the mic most of the time.

8

Nico

Perfectly pleasant, but sitting comfortably in the unstimulating spectrum, with a ho hum staging, that could forgivingly be accredited to the BBC.  It's rather colourless right now and the lackluster frock reveal certainly didn't rouge it up. They'll need to put an extreme amount of thought into this to get it out of the semi-finals.

Slovenia 's Taylor Swift offers us a country-tinged tune with a good meaty beat.  It's somewhat ruined by the ill-advised yodelling and weak chorus, but she is engaging and the audience will love her.

5

Tristán

A very decent song, and another definite qualifier. I am a bit confused by EMA did not allow Slovenes to choose out of the ten songs instead of just two, especially as the experts denied people voting for the rather risqué Anja Bas song in the final and the excellent Regina song. Furthermore, I don't think ManuELLA has the nicest voice. Certainly catchy, though. But all the songs in EMA were of a high standard...
