Bianca was definitely the better choice, but this isn't bad! One of the better efforts from the UK in recent years. It has a Coldplay vibe, but they need to work on vocals and staging if they want to stand out and be memorable in Stockholm . It can potentially land in the top 15.

This year UK is taking a little bit serious this contest.I'm still waiting a big name from this country. I'm just hoping BBC will understand that it is still on the wrong path. Now this song is more decent than last year but it will not score high. The boys are good looking ok singers with a forgettable song. That's it.The max UK can score with this is a top 15-20.

A beautiful moment of this year's competition, sweet British pop but unfortunately ... it's one of the great "cursed" countries and hardly will go to the final. Old Alvion finally ....wake up, the Contest needs you because it's a matter of Europe ... I love this song

Summer dance tune, but not at the parties I would like to go. Anyway, it brings fun and good mood. Let’s pray for a good performance, because it could be a problem once again for UK . And it’s also radio-friendly, which should bring some additional points from the jury.

This is a credible radio-friendly song that is well performed. Modern and youthful, but also unremarkable and has nothing to make it stand out and I worry that come May with 25 other songs in the contest it will become lost, rather like the Danish song. It is not going to win the Eurovision but with the right staging, lighting, video projection, throw in a little gimmick and some choreography and it should keep the United Kingdom out of the bottom 5.

I don't understand how a country with such a great history in music can come up with something as lame as this. The song never gets 'there' (or anywhere) and it's extremely boring.

Couldn’t be weaker if they tried. What a bore of a song. The UK had a couple of strong songs in their final but opted for this non-descript forgettable one. The singers seems like really nice guys and I do wish them the best though and not sure it will be enough for them to reach the left hand side of the scoreboard.

"You are not alone" is the tittle of the song, but I'm afraid UK will feel very alone in the voting of the final. If I were british I would feel very angry for having this song representing my country that is by far the best musical industry in Europe , and this "song" is only good for a boy scouts party.

I feel this is the best entry UK have had in years, Current and relevant and has a hook that had me singing it all night. At last the UK are moving in the right direction

It's pretty middle-of-the-road for me, but the boys have a lot of appeal, and perform well on stage. Considering what has been selected so far they might find themselves doing a lot better than others expect. Not bad.

It's modern, youthful, it has a catchy hook, and the lads are quite handsome so that could appeal to the teen demographic.  I think the vocals are good and the overall performance quite fresh.

It's a cute song. Not a great song but the voices are good. Joe and Jake look to be enjoying their time on stage and are performing well. Having said that, I don't see it as a winner - far from it.

Pia

Hmhmhm, something in the middle. Not bad but not a winner either. The boys are really trying

7

Roberto

Brilliant, catchy, notable. They remind a bit the Dutch duo Nick & Simon (or, better, a younger version of them), for their interweaving of voices and the immediate and pleasant melodies. Let's hope, finally, for a remarkable placement for UK this year.

So for a second year in a row, UK has a duo. I like duo’s more than solo artists. I saw a comment that they lack some presence, I also feel they are more background guys and not grabbing the frontline attention. What I did like is that UK picked fairly unknowns as this could be their big chance for a bright career. The song is not very original but listenable. I saw someone says they want to sound like One direction but actually is No direction – that is fairly harsh.

Pleasantly positive with a bit of Coldplay in there...it's certainly an improvement over the gimmicks of the past, and the song feels honest and earnest.

A very contemporary sounding song from a UK final (finally) that was, after waiting so long, sadly lacking any hint of tension or drama. Success or not really will depend on the staging. It has the potential to look very amateur but it is the best UK entry in a good few years!

I quite like this song but it's not a winner, but I reckon it was the best song out of the six at the preselection show. I do wonder how they will perform in a bigger venue, they seem young and unexperienced. but nice song good melody.

7

Daniel

It wasn't my favourite. I wanted Bianca to win but I think we will do better than we did last year. They're likeable and the song is nice.

6

Danny

Finally a UK entry that I am not embarrassed about for once. This is nice enough and catchy with the wo-oh bits, but the problem is there are quite a few similar sounding entries this year that I think are performed better. A lower-mid table result is likely, but that’s a definite improvement on last year. Small steps!

Happy to see an Englishman from the Midlands representing the UK this year so England flags at the ready! Great live performance on the national final. Love the 'feel good' vibe and am looking forward to seeing how it transforms to the Globen stage. Maybe not a winner but hey, we're moving in the right direction!

Whilst the boys didn't seem to be the strongest performers on "You Decide" this Britpop styled Coldplay-lite track certainly stood out with its catchy chorus.  Probably not Top 10 material, but a step in the right direction for the UK .  I expect anywhere between 12th and 18th.

The national final is back! Hooray! I preferred Bianca's song, but Joe and Jack can sing, and with some strong staging, and maybe a little remixing, the UK should be heading for its best result since 2011.

7

Eddie

A modern UK entry - am I dreaming? Such a great feel / radio friendly song. Two young singers who will give it all! Needs a better stage presence but will do the UK well ( left hand side of the board).

Great to attend my first UK final and to have been a little part of the selection process. This was my favourite to win EYD, so I’m very happy. They do need some stage presence advice and the whole performance concept will be critical but this has a lot of potential if they make the most of the rousing anthemic power of the song and boost the guys vocals with some backing singers. Great potential, so please get the staging right BBC. Best UK song since Blue.

Best uk entry for a few years, these lads are really likeable; they can sing; and the song isn't too bad. A step in the right direction for the BBC.

I really really wanted Bianca to win but this is a decent pop song which should get some interest in the UK . I don't think we will come last night but nor do I see us troubling the top 10.

Indirectly following The Voice route this year, the UK can send a 'friends together', uplifting ear-worm of a tune to Stockholm that will yield more points than recently.  The interaction between J&J and their audience will endear them to many, their innocent 'everyman' charm being a plus point in May.

7.5

Matt

Unfortunately I find this a little on the dull side.  It has its moments but gets rather samey.  They seem like likeable lads and it is definately more 'with it' and a step in the right direction.  I wish them well and hope for a left-hand side of the board.

7

Nico

A really good anthemic, radio friendly pop song. Two solid and likable singers. Yet after all the talk of Mans winning and how important it is to have great staging, where was it BBC? This song will stand or fall on this basis alone. Sweden proved you don't need an amazing song to win. You need the WHOLE package, if J&J get it, they could do really well. If we don't get more than we saw, we'll fade into the nether regions again. Simple really. For me it's one of the better songs this year, no shame at all here.  Well, not yet at least......

Sally-Ann

Thrilled to see these two talented guys win the first UK national vote for six years.  The song is a lilting, uplifting anthem, and the overall feel is as fresh and current as a hot cross bun.

Tristán

Well, I quite like this. It was my favourite right up until the live show, which I attended, and I ended up voting for Bianca just because of her stage presence and the catchiness of her song. But this is (like Bianca's) a very good entry and has already proven itself to be a bit of an earworm. I think it will definitely end up on the left-side of the scoreboard. Well done.
