This
is just not my stuff and I don’t feel anything while listening to the
ballad. Absolutely nothing to remember. |

A
beautiful ballad, but oh so slow. I realise a ballad is supposed to be
slow, but this is so slow I find myself thinking about everything else
when trying to listen to this song. I think this song will be forgotten as
soon as it ends. |

Even
though I don’t like this much I have to recognise that this is a strong
entry, it’s just not for me. With a good performance and staging on the
night I think this could do really very well. |

Lyrics,
vocals and musical arrangements together make one of the best Bulgarians
entries ever. I found it exotic, and even when is a ballad in a year of
ballads, it doesn't feel like "another ballad". I don't know how
Kristian can do live, but I wish |

really lovely song, but now there are a batch of songs by male singers

This
is lovely! Kristian has a nice voice, the song is very well mixed and has
a nice build to it. One of the better ballads in this year's selection. I
genuinely cannot think of a bad thing to say about "Beautiful
Mess" |

Great
choice and impressive voice. Catchy melody , deep lyrics , powerful voice.
That's an amazing song which touches our souls deeply, Sounds like a
really professional and confident singer. |

a ballad again .....ok his song is quite pretty, and he sings it well ,
but as I said before , ballads ,ballads ballads ....... |

I
had, again, the classic feeling : I've heard this before, and maybe many
times. Not a beautiful mess, just a mess. Quite tedious and pale. It
leaves me uninterested. |

I
did expect something similar to their success of 2016 but I doubt if they
will have the same success. The singer is young but with a strong voice
but the song itself did not touch me at all |

Poli
gave Bulgaria their best result ever last year, and they’re sticking
with the same composers this year. It’s a decent enough track which is
very contemporary and seems to be doing amazingly in the bookies odds, but
for me it lacks that certain something that Poli’s song had. It should
do fairly well, but it is not going to eclipse last year’s result. |

Another
angst-ridden ballad. It's OK but hard to distinguish from many others this
year. The song meanders along on waves of melancholy before disappearing
without having achieved much. More 'boring mess' than 'beautiful'. |

This
is dull and boring. I don't like it. He's also about 12... shouldn't he be
in Junior Eurovision? Whatever, this is just sooooooo uninteresting. |

Not
a patch on their 2016 entry, this is a disappointment. Well produced, yes,
and Kristian’s voice sounds nice, but it takes too long to get going,
and I’m not sure if it gets anywhere. This will get lost in a sea of
(better) ballads. |

A
modern ballad sung by a young man. It sounds good and he has a nice tone
to his voice. For me, in this year, it doesn’t stand out enough. I wish
they would have gone down the pop route. |

This
would not sound out of place in a Nordic noir.
I can see the merit of the song, which
does have an intense atmosphere and builds.
I am just not very uplifted by it and
also a little unconvinced by the lyrics, which feel a bit forced, even
pretentious. |

Its
difficult to comment on this when the singer is so
young (the first Contestant born this century?) 16/1i

A
good well crafted song that would not be out of place in the western
charts. The song is not distinctive enough for me, missing a spark, but
think it will be a grower. I believe this has got potential to give a
quality live performance and may change my opinion. |

I
really like his voice and the song is strong and memorable.
It won't do as well as Poli but should
hopefully qualify. |

Beautiful
lyrics in a love song do not always make for a classic Eurovision entry.
Even though this reads as an amazing
poem, the deathly slow pace of the music together with Kristian's vocals,
superb though they are, does not endear me to this.
Unfortunately "Beautiful
Mess" could be the banner headline for this song in Kyiv... |

Pleasant
and well sung song; it doesn't really stand out but certainly not a bad
entry. |

I
like the chorus, definitely a song I'm happy to listen to, yet somehow
lacking in that instant grab factor. There's a bit of a lack of stage
presence at the moment, but there's time to work on this. |

Angst-ridden
and heartfelt it may be, but this ballad is also incredibly boring and I
doubt I'll listen to it ever again after the semi final or - surely not -
the final. |
