I can definitely get behind this! The song is modern and Hovig's delivery is on point. I can see this resonating well with audiences in May -- even after a full day since my last listen, I still distinctly remember the beat and chorus. I can see this placing between 10th-15th.

This song is pretty good.In the field of so many female singers it will stand out a little bit, but I don't think enough to qualify. Im waiting the live version to because it might help the song if the singer delivers good vocals.

Oh my God such a boring song with a mediocre singer. I still cannot believe that Thomas G:son Wrote this song. It is an undeniable fact that Cyprus will not win with this performance. It tires me a lot, it is characterized by repetition. Comment: Dear Hovig please stop moving your body and start to perform. I am sure it will remain on the Semi final taking only from Greece … 6 points!

The beginning is quite promising, but chorus is boring and instead of some epic emotions there it too much of “let me be”. And eventually “let me be” is all that I remember about the song…

Cyprus have again enlisted the help of Thomas G:son for their 2017 entry. 'Gravity' has a very dark and mysterious opening with a deep electro beat and syncopated clapping which set the tone for this contemporary and intriguing composition. It sounds polished with a sleek finish and has a catchy chorus. With the assistance of Greece and Armenia (both voting in semi-final 1) along with the not to be underestimated Armenian diaspora, this should squeeze into the final but I very much doubt it will trouble the top 10 once there.

Cyprus 's very own Justin Timberlake? With the right scenography this might be a top 10, but just the song falls a bit flat to me. The singer is very good and I like the intro to the song, but the lyrics gets repetitive quickly and there's no depth.

I quite like Hovig’s song and I think it is really well produced. I think that with good staging this can easily go through to the final. It stays in your ears. I think I will like this more the more I listen to it.

Great modern pop approach with Hovig, really like the tune, sure it will be a grower for me. But since I'm not very familiar with him, I fear that his voice doesn't sounds so good in Kiev , let's see.

I absolutely love this! It is right up my street and the sort of music I listen to, I think it is current and should be well recieved on the night

The lyrics are really annoying and sound like they've been written by high schooler. That being said this has had great production and has the potential to really look amazing on stage. With a change of lyrics in the first verse this would have gotten an extra 2 points.

Octavio

Wish the melody was a bit stronger, but the production is very well done, very fresh and really modern. The chorus is great and very addictive. With a good staging, Cyprus can do it.

A below average song, not really my cup of tea. Don't really like his voice either.

Pia

Quite good , but is he trying to be a new Loic Nottet ?????

7

Roberto

Contemporary rhythms for the island of Aphrodite . Very catchy and modern, it can easily get your attention. It has a well produced, fascinating sound and it could be a real contender in Kiev . In the footsteps of Loic Nottet's mighty entry in 2015.

In a moment like this I would have liked to shout Euphoria but unfortunately this is not in the same class, still Gravity is fairly nice and should like last year put Cyprus in the final.  But I also foresee a low score once they are there.

Samantha

Nice driving beat, but there isn't really anything in this that screams "winner", or "innovative", or even "vote for me". Even the lyrics feel derivative...but this at least gives lots of potential for a great staging.

I like this, the song gets going from the start, its very funky and modern, this should do well, rather impressed with this one

This one kinda plods on a bit for me. It's catchy enough but it doesn't really go anywhere after their first minute and it will need a stand out performance to do some damage, but as it stands it is another one which I'd put onto the maybe pile.

This is very disappointing. Cyprus offers up dire, tried and tested lyrics and a plodding, all too familiar tune. Another hopelessly lame, generic, repetitive entry. Cheerless!

Not what I was expecting and this has a very modern sound with a whiff of Eastern promise. Catchy and rhythmic. With the right presentation this could be very effective.

8

Dean

This isn’t bad, but the rhyming of ‘Gravity’, ‘Be’, ‘Company’, ‘Me’, ‘Free’ gets a but annoying after a while.  Borderline qualifier.

6

Eddie

Doesn't sound like G:son. Great production, a good singer. Hope for a full on stage show. Should be in the final

7

Edward

A modern rocky―even edgy―song, with genuine Eurovision flavour.  The theme is right, the style strong and I expect some serious contemporary dancing on stage.  It has a tag and ostinato that you remember (even if there’s not really a climax), and that could help it.  This could do rather well.

Bit of nod to ‘Human’ by Rag’n’Bone Man and Belgium 2015? Swedification aside, I quite like this and can see some Sakis type presentation being planned. I hope he can pull it off live, but I’d be happy with a similar result for them as last year.

Not much to say about this. It's alright but somewhat unexciting

Hovig came seventh in the Greece Xfactor back in 2009 and is a great choice for representing Cyprus this year. I just love to hear that European vocal sang in English.  This catchy little number is will be go down with the fans! Let’s hope they qualify this years and beats their best result, which was back in 2004, coming fifth.  Good Luck Cyprus !

HOVIG with his gravelly raw voice gives a strong confident performance with "Gravity". A cool current pop song with a great beat. A big thumbs up from me.

A decent enough pop song.  Sounds like something else I've heard before but can't put my finger on it.  In what is seeming like a weaker year maybe we will see Cyprus back in the final.

Martin

One of those entries that just lacks that certain something to change it from a decent entry to a possible show stopper.  The pulsating beat of the music keeps the interest but the vocals and lyrics are bland and just didn't grab my attention - Hovig deserves a better song than this..

Matt

I would like to like this more but I think his voice is not 'right' for the song and I wince at various points. The song feels somewhat harsh overall

After just one listen it stuck in my head for hours afterwards. That's got to be a good sign for a Euro song.  Hovig's mellifluous voice lends a richness to the driving rhythm giving the song extra depth that belies it's simplicity. There is of course a familiarity, but then that did Heroes no harm whatsoever. Somehow it also reminds me of Loďc (2015).  If they can stage this anywhere near as well, this deserves to do better than some of their recently underscored songs; assuming they can escape the bloodbath that will be the first semi final.....

On record, this sounds like a big, quality, grown-up song, with hints of Rag n Bone Man in there somewhere. It promises to be a lavish stage production and its fate depends entirely on Hovig's live performance.
