For what it is, the song is not bad. However, there is nothing memorable about it that will stick with viewers. I honestly forgot that it was still playing while I was listening to it. |

I really enjoy this song. I
think is radio friendly, but I cant see this doing well on the judges. |

Although
the big fail in the national final of the country, I strongly believe that
this is not such a bad song as the majority of the fans declared. The
English language will certainly help the country to take a better place on
the scoreboard regarding the previous years. Spanish people, voters, fans
and jury members have to find the "secret" to lead |

Catchy radio friendly
song – ticked, Spanish sound – ticked, good live performance –
ticked, singer himself – ticked. And up tempo! It’s a full package non
divas |

Objetivo Eurovisión 2017 was fraught with drama. After a tie in the voting between Manel and Mirela (as in 2014) this year the expert jury were called upon to seperate the two songs. What we are left with is a slice of light, guitar led teenage pop. A Spanglish copy of Frans ? Clearly inspiration has also been drawn from Juanes and Bruno Mars. 'DIFYL' has a summery sound and is a relaxing reggae number but it becomes very monotonous after the first verse. I really cannot see this setting the scoreboard alight. |

This sound like a soundtrack from some early 2000 feel good teen movie. |

Feels like a bad early 90s summer failed “hit”. Gosh this is terrible. Do it for us and just stop it!! |

Manel has charm, but his voice is kind of
annoying. You listen to the lyrics in Spanish and then you said what does
this have to do with Do it for your lover? nothing! |

I can see this song
being the song we all get up and do our thing whilst on summer holidays
this year. Its cute but don’t see it doing anything spectacular in |

Whilst the chorus gets repetitive quickly, this is still pretty catchy
and Manuel comes across really likable on camera. I definitely get a Jason
Mraz beach-rock vibe here... |

An average song, a bit too repetitive but it is an original song and not in a bad way. |

He´s a young glad fellow, but this is boring. It would have been better if he sung the whole song in spanish ! |

As a chill little beach-bonfire song, this is perfectly fine. It's got a cute hook will transcend language barriers, which is helpful, but I can't imagine this troubling the upper echelons of the scoreboard. |

Very different from recent Spanish entries, not sure if i like it, find it quite boring and wont stick out, and it sounds like i have heard this type of song a hundred times from a hundred different artists, nothing new. |

Drama aside this is just a run of the mill song which completely passes me by. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this dead last in the final. |

There was nothing musically stimulating in the Spanish final so it was a case of 'pick the least worst'. Even so, this is pretty dreary. A twenty-something surfer boy strumming through three minutes of repetitive dross. Mirela's song would probably have been bottom five in Kiev, Manel's chances of reaching those dizzy lows seems more assured. |

Despite the controversial way in which this was chosen, I think going for
a more modern sounding song was a shrewd more by TVE. This is a far
more accessible sounding song than the runner-up which had been done SO
many times before. I think it’s going to surprise many people and

A chilled feel good song that I would be nice playing in the background while having a G&T on a summers day. A pleasant song with a Reggae vibe but feel the jury will crucify it with its non creative lyrics and poor staging. |

I do like a bit of drama in a national final! I like this but I doubt it will do that well in Kyiv. |

It is nice to hear an entry parred down to guitar, drums and singer as much as possible but that's where the pleasure ends - repeating the song's title continually for three minutes might have worked for Spain in 1968 but 49 years on and it's a likely bottom place for Manel. |

Quite a nice 'summery' feel to this. And as it's quite 'jolly' it might stand out in the field? Still not a big fan of it though. |

A radio friendly song, like Black Smoke, that sung by a huge star would no doubt be a massive hit, alas I fear it will have a similar fate to Black Smoke. For me the repetition in the chorus of the same words over and over, makes the English pointless rather than the song more accessible. Dare I ask, do WHAT for my lover? |

The most contemporary entry so far, this feel-good song could easily be a chart hit for Olly Murs or the like, though it is debatable how well it will come across on the vast Eurovision stage. A case of great record, possibly mediocre live performance. |
