This is exactly the type of entry I expected from Imri. It has all of the elements that made Golden Boy so successful, but there is also an additional appeal to this song that can span to a larger audience. I'm excited to see the live performance!

Good dance song. Israel is fresh once again. Good effort and it will do well I think. It is a little bit repetitive but it has a good hook. Like it and the stadium will love it. Still I don't think it is a contender in any way.

A very good try from Israel this year. We are not having the entry of 2015 but for sure it will be a finalist. Nice melody and a very very prominent preview video. At the reprise the introduction of a traditional instrument was very inspired. Imri is a handsome guy with an up tempo song … the right combination for a nice placing at the end of the night…Shalom Israel you are always a wise participant

I think that Imri deserves a better song. Not this mediocre dance tune which sounds pretty much the same way as thousand previous ones which had been released in this world for the last 15 years. Some folk sounds made it a bit better though.

'I Feel Alive' is upbeat and uplifting with Oriental / Mizrachi touches. It has a heavy beat and infectious dance sound and I am getting a similar vibe like with Amir last year. We still need to hear it live  but I am confident that this is a qualifier possibly with more support from the televoters than from the juries. A summer hit and in a year with so many ballads, it's Israeli flair will certainly help it stand out. Incidentally the last time Israel sang 'Alive' in the Eurovision they went very close ...

Mostly this song sounds like a one of many in the middle type of songs.  Not bad, but nothing much, until about the last minute when they finally put in some energy! Too bad about the first two minutes though...

Israel seem to have opted for a very lazy song as there’s nothing interesting or original about it but overall is ok.

I found this entry refreshing among many ballads. However it lacks of the strength to compete for the victory, and even been a  fugacious summer hit

Good song, great singer but for me is missing something. Will do well though i think

This isn't bad at all! I watched the Israeli final and on there he was singing songs that were way out of his depth, but having a dance track tailor-made to his range and energy does him a world of good. Will qualify for sure but not winning material for me.

Amazing song, super catchy and fun to listen to, so current. I really like the song, but it does not have the essence of Israel , it's a very pop song, very American, It's good and it will do really well.

It's smells 'summer hit' all over it. I like it, makes you want to move, happy, joyful song. Hope to see Israel in the final again this year.

Europop of today. You listen to it a couple of weeks , and that´s it !

Let me show you Tel Aviv, part two. Catchy and sunny but too much in the s It seems you have listen to it a million times somewhere else. Monotonous and bland, partly weak and inconclusive. It leaves me cold.hadows of the Golden Boy in Vienna . Imri is talented, but this entry it's a bit on a borderline. A glittering modern dance tune or a cheap and weak version of something already heard ? It's up to you to decide.

I gather most of us expected something like Sergey last year but this is good and catchy and should be the dance hit of Kyiv. I think Israel will again qualify, this should get quite a few televotes.

Like Macedonia , a great danceable track with subtle shades of melancholy. Love the Middle-eastern influence at the dance break! All in all, a solid entry.

Very good dance song, deserves to do well, good quality pop song

This is probably the moat unsurprising entry of the year. If someone had asked me what the Israeli song would be like when Imri was chosen, I’d have described something like this. It’s fine for what it is, but it takes a little bit too long to get going, and it’s really no Golden Boy. It may have a chance of qualifying but I suspect it would get lost in the pack on Saturday night.

A bit of a disappointment from Israel . He seems quite personable but the music is very weak and there's a feel of the whole thing having been knocked up in around half an hour. Cheery, cheesy but by no means an obvious qualifier.

This is formulaic and uninspiring.  It's so similar in style to Greece , except I think Greece is better.  He's certainly easy on the eye, but I think this may struggle.

7

This is how you do modern Eurovision pop.  A good looking guy with a funky, catchy song.  I really want this to do well.  Well done, Israel !

9

Eddie

Standard euro party track from Israel . His does have a great live voice and I hope they put on a great stage show in Kiev . They could have picked a better song for his voice as they feels like euro pop by numbers. Will hopefully make the final.

Finally something more up tempo!  This is a solid dance track with a hit of ethnopop, albeit lacking a knockout moment.  The Israelis have picked the right song and performer this year to stand out from the crowd of mostly female ballads.  They’ll reap rewards and we’ll get to dance!

The bridge between the verse and the chorus is like a chorus in its own right… the song jumps about a little too much, not having the flow of ‘Golden Boy’ which I see as a new classic. Its ok, but I’m not drawn in… not yet, anyway.

7

Joe

He's nice to look at, and the song is cheerful enough, but lacking any real quality.

Handsome artist Imri Ziv will be flying the flag for Israel for 2017. "I feel alive" will be the song, I very impressed with the constantly high quality of entries over the last few years by Israel, and this is year is no exception.  We needed a dance track, and we have it! Defiantly through to the final in my opinion

Imri is a good looking guy, this alone won't win the contest however it will help. The song is up tempo with a catchy beat that builds and builds. The vocals are not great but this is where his good looks and ripped body compensates.

Mark M

A pleasant and catchy enough pop song.  I'm not convinced of his vocals and I'm not sure it's got enough of a hook to get Israel through to the final.

Israel alternate back to party song territory with "I Feel Alive" - Imri has an great voice, a look to appeal to both sexes and if the party can be transferred to the Kyiv stage, this will be a very memorable entry.  Pity about the 'brick wall stop' at the song's end though...

Is it Lee Ryan from Blue? ;)  Yes it's nice and dancy but really quite forgettable to be honest.  I think he'd have been better off singing a ballad.

4

Nico

Similar generic dance track to Greece , but with a little more flavour, this is more enjoyable and with some Golden Boy dancers, this should escape semi two easily.

Sally-Ann

Back to the 90s for Israel and for some reason I feel cheated out of something more original from them.  Precious little euphoria or melody from this effort, I'm guessing it won't translate well onto the big stage.
