The biggest surprise of the year! Modern and fresh with an awesome 80s-esque tempo. If this song were given to someone like Tove Lo, it would be an international hit and if this was Sweden 's entry, the bookies would be having a heart attack. I hope Macedonia invests in the live performance because this could easily be my winner!

Well the balkans are going very american sounding. This is a pretty good song and I would dance on it and liking it in a club but thats it. It will be forgettable if they do not invest in the stage image. The fact that is an uptempo song will not be enough though.

From Skopje with love. Some people say that it is the best entry of FYR Macedonia … and maybe they are right. Despite the fact that it is an up tempo song, the sound is very very 80’s. I wonder how they will present it on stage but ..I trust them. Finally a song without the usual Balkan sound …Modernization… this is the solution. Well done guys you are to the finals…

I like music, but I don’t quite like the singing in verses. Chorus is very nice and I can imagine myself dancing to it even alone! Macedonia did a very clever step by sending up tempto tune!

Jana will take us to the club with 'Dance Alone'. She has delivered something modern and cool, a synth-pop song with a low key '80s sound. Strong Scandinavian pop influences here and unsurprisingly it has a Swedish writer. A very clever, touching and bittersweet video and I hope they retain the element of melancholy when it is presented on stage. This must give Jana a fighting chance of getting to the final although I doubt it will achieve their best ever position and I had hoped for something more ethnic.

I like the old school techno music. This song get easily stuck on the brain and has a really nice rhythm to it. It sounds very electronic though, and I'm not sure how that will transfer live on stage. I hope it goes well as I dance alone to this.

This is a well-produced song and has a contemporary feel. Alas, it doesn’t have much more to offer than this. I am aware than many eurofans are going crazy for this but I do not get it at all. It does however deserved brownie points for effort.

One of the best entries this year from East Europe . I like all the rhythm of the song and the mood of Jana, I hope Macedonia delegation don't mess it with an awful show, like Israel did in 2014. It should bright among so much easy listening songs.

Catchy little number this one, If she can perform well live it could do really well on the night

This is great! Jana looks and sounds great, the clip is awesome and this is very well mixed. It won't win but I'm really hoping they qualify as it's certainly deserving.

Modern, fresh, upbeat and song is awesome for radio, so refreshing to see them going with something modern and different, new from FYRO Macedonia . This is seriously just so enjoyable, fun and catchy and it's lovely to have in the contest.

I like this one. It's fresh, modern, well done FYROM ! Hope to see this at the final.

Disco from the 80`s, just forget it .....

Roberto

Enjoyable, easy, uplifting, with a very catchy refrain, but not so sharp. Suitable for just a delightful moment / break, but it's ok.

Quite a catchy song and I think this could do very well. Jana will surely not dance alone in Kyiv.

A brilliant entry, modern and sleek. It's rare for a song to be both upbeat and melancholy, but this does it! Possibly Macedonia 's best effort in years.

Good quality pop song, deserves a place in the final, very funky, hope it sounds as good live

Now this is a nice surprise. Catchy, uptempo and most of all VERY modern, this sounds like something that would fit right into the charts, and it’s by far the best Macedonian entry ever! The video is also the best of the year, and I think this is very likely to give Macedonia their first ever top 10 entry!

Although we don't have a live performance to view, this feels like Macedonia 's best chance to date of grabbing a top ten spot in the final. It's another familiar sound but perhaps a better example of the genre that's dominating ESC 2017.

Loving this fresh and dancy wee ditty, and so nice to see them going for something contemporary.  I suspect this is sailing into the final.

Crikey this is very different from Macedonia !  Not bad at all but a bit generic.  Will all these electro songs cancel each other out?  I’m hoping the stage presentation will lift it - as an audio track it doesn’t quite grab me.

Oh yes, love the electo sound and riff. I can hear this being a radio hit as well as a summer hit. This should defo make the final. Hope they do a great production on stage. I hope they get the best result to date with this.

A dance track with an edge and message is a departure for Macedonia .  The imaginative, brave and even quite moving video will be difficult to replicate on stage.  This may create a challenge to stand out, especially given there are already several similar songs.  I hope it won’t get forgotten.

Not very MK is it? Nice beat though and a solid production. Catchy enough but one that remains unproven on a live stage, so far. One for the dance floors I guess and potential to get the crowd going. Its success lays with the live presentation and how strong the vocal is live… A tad too Swedish and not ethnic enough, though?

OMG I LOVE this. It's a great pop tune and reminds me of the sort of thing that Tove Lo would put out. It has the makings of a global hit

Macedonia returns with an ambitious track called “Dance Alone” performed by Jana Burceska.  I don’t think Jana will be dancing alone with this upbeat number.  This has instantly entered by top 5, infectious and catchy…

Lloyd

Although there were lots of energy in the performance and I enjoyed the chorus this song did not excite me.

6

Mark M

Quite a contemporary entry from Macedonia this year and it's decent enough.  One of the few entries we can dance to this year so perhaps this will be enough to get it through to the final.

6

Martin

Macedonia have made it to the 21st Century with "Dance Alone" - Jana gives this understated but anthemic dance track a simplistic sexual edge that will surely stand out amongst the sea of ballads in Kyiv.  The staging will need to be very engaging however to make this a top ten finisher...

Love the music and the beat and the song isn't too bad either.

FYRoM comes up trumps with an edgier dance number than their southern and to a lesser extent northern neighbours. Jana has great sultry look too and this should qualify from semi 2 easily providing they can stage it well. It does worry me that it reminds me of Maya Feingold though.

FYROM isn't known for sending dance stompers to ESC, but they break the mould this year with a song that resembles If Love Was A Crime in its nod to cool electronic pop tones.  Without question its best entry for many a year and a deserved qualifier.
