This is ok with a few brassy bits added, a deleted profanity and
various noises hurled in by the producer. It doesn't amount to much and
yet it's not a complete write off. Looking forward to the live performance
and the possibility that the Czechs will be bouncing into their second ESC
final. |

A major bop! I have missed these types of
entries. Charismatic, catchy, and the potential for an amazing
performance. No doubt this will be the |

This song almost has it all, it's contemporary,
sung by a good looking guy and could do well. Unfortunately, the blatant
sexual theme of the song and the mysoginistic lyrics are everything I hate
about music, and does not belong on a Eurovision stage. For that reason, I
cannot support this song. |

I like this but it is interesting that they have
the video prepared so that we don’t see him do it live. I think live it
will be awful as technically it will be hard to get all the vocals in.
Lets see! |

It sounds like half of the songs playing on
radio right now, so I can't call it original, but this is fun! Very
playful and lots of attitude. |

Awful, horrid, jarring and the lyrics - no
thanks. I can't say anything else about it I'm afraid. |

Totally different direction for the Czech Rep.
Modern, fresh, like a few things in the chat at the moment.Like a few
tracks last year - it sounds great on the recorded track but will it
deliver when it's live? I hope so. He's a good performer - will need a
great performance to qualify! |

Pros: Super-catchy, great riff, modern. Cons:
Sketchy lyrics that could use some polish, and the fact we haven't heard
him sing live. Promising, but not without issues. |

A 'Prince' track for the 2010s, "Lie To
Me" has superb bass guitar licks, a great sax/trumpet combination and
lyrics that wouldn't look out of place alongside that star's raunchier
selections. Totally relatable and 'now', Mikolas provides the
charisma and moves to take Czechia further than just a Final placing. |

This song has a nice jazzy start-up, but it goes
after as repetitive and boring. Some potential in it, but it could be
irritating and noisy after some listenings. Not my cup of tea, anyway.
Maybe the younger audience will be interested on it. |

This country certainly has a Czech-ered history
at Eurovision, qualifying only once and withdrawing for four years.
But Mikolas could be the man to restore some pride in the scoreboard; his
funky, Timberlake-inspired song is a slice of modern pop that should
appeal across the board. |

This
is the best song ever of Czech Rep, I found the song kind of weak, but the
singer and the song has potential for a good show, that is something that
people appreciate most than voice and lyrics. |

Wow!
This is a strong commercial and contemporary entry. Up tempo, minor
key, good hook, strong performer… the Czechs have finally read the
Eurovision rulebook! There is room for interesting, even innovative,
staging. It’s intriguing on first listening and grows if you
listen to it again. This will do well. |

Well,
I guess it's a fresh and modern song and probably will have a good public
at the Eurovision and have good chances to qualify for the Final. But, I
don't like this type of song, it's the typical song that will make me
switch radio channel in my car ;-) |

This
is the Czech's best entry in my view, even with the controversial lyrics
(which will of course be changed). He looks good and hopefully with
see a second qualification |

Absolutely NOT my cup-a-tea and I think this
will be a big contender for the last place on my 2018 rankings. But like
my last place in 2017 who ended in the in the top 10 on the final night,
this could do the same. |

kind of music, but I expect this will go down with younger viewers. Probably

2017 meets Bieber.. oh
dear. This song has a certain rhythm to it but besides that I can’t see
any redeeming feature. In his interviews Mikolas comes across as very
friendly and thoughtful so hopefully he can make the song shine come May. |

Objectively I can appreciate that is a well
crafted and very current piece of pop that should easily give them their
best result, which I'd be happy to see,, as i enjoy diversity. Alas,
subjectively it's Justin Timberlake before he got catchy. Not my cup of
tea at all. |

This track has been around for some considerable
time and has really grown on me. The song is an excellent choice,
and I am predicting it will do well in |

A
country with very bad statistics in this song contest. The song is very
entertaining, freshy with a very nice rhythm, but it will unfortunately
not manage to obtain a high score. For sure it is a typical song that
needs some stage performence skills but the Czechs aren't so strong on
this sector. |

Not
Included (just missed out on the 12):
Octavio - Very current, very competitive uptempo, fresh and interesting, the upbeat so draws your attention, but it's one of those songs that will strongly rely on a good live performance otherwise. That being said, it’s up to the singer to deliver a strong live vocal to guarantee it’s almost-there qualification - 8
