This is sweet but the whole relationship thing is so cliché. I've heard it three times now and still have no idea how it goes, and that is not a good sign. Still it's not as offensive as Manel Navarro so I suppose we should be grateful.

Elena

They sing beautifully, they really do. The song, however, feels outdated and boring. The little lovey dovey on stage made me uncomfortable.

Well - it's an improvement on 2017! Other than that, Spain is lumbered with a Disney ballad that goes nowhere fast. She seems competent enough but as for her male colleague . . . They have a few months to polish this but as it stands, all we have is a three minute window of dullness. Again.

5

Mark L

A really sweet little song, that is really well performed, by two great singers, it might be a little bit twee, but I still really like it. Good luck from Ireland .

Nice final from Spain which resulted in a very nice song .. they are cute together and there’s a hint of a slick performance and some genuine emotion.. I love its simplicity and retro feel. There’s still room for some romantic heart-tugging moments amongst all the ‘noise’ – didn’t do Salvador any harm…

Amar

I do enjoy the chemistry and melody of Tu Cancion. The performance is "magical", but it is a bit too Disney for my liking. I do think juries will eat this up and place Spain in the top 10, but I can't see this going beyond the top 15 in the televote (unless they make the performance a little less cheesy).

Such a lovely simple ballad. It does take me bad to Eurovision in the 1990s. Their voices work very well together. I really like the song. My issue is with performance - there is nothing special about it and singing at each other and not looking at the camera just doesn't work. Not a winner and with a better performance would be mid table.

Samantha

Super sweet, maybe a bit too treacly for my liking. Amaia seems to overshadow Alfred, vocally, although they are adorable together. I half-expect a "Skibet skal sejle i nat" moment...

This is all very 'Glee', isn't it?  Let's hope that Alfred and Amaia stay 'good friends' until at least 13th May, otherwise this twee love duet might turn into a stony nightmare that will be uncomfortable to watch.  One of those instantly unforgettable boy/girl songs conveniently used for a break.

5

Jose

She sings well, his voice is disturbing for me, I found it boring even for a mexican soap opera, I don't think it will suceed in Eurovision, sorry Spain.

This duet is without question inspired by Portugal 's winning entry last year, all breathy vocals and stirrings strings.  The young couple in charge appear to have matching teeth as well as very well-suited vocals, and deliver a winsome if not particularly ground-breaking effort.

Douwe

On the 3 previous occasions that OT was used to select the Spanish Eurovision entry, they went top 10 however I have my doubts this song will do as well. Yes, it is dreamy and touching, their chemistry is very believable and Alfred and Amaia are charming and very likeable but it is very saccharine and schmaltzy and they look a little awkward.

I know they are an item, but to be honest she has a much stronger voice than he does and the performance suffers for it. I don’t even think the song is that good so I fear Spain are going to struggle.

I am not to found of Spain 's Eurovision entries and this year is no different unfortunately. I don't like this song, too cheesy, really not my cup of tea.

Spain has pulled it back.  Alfred and Amaia’s love duet is a good choice, and the whole country is behind them.  My only worry is that they need to be allowed to be young people singing a simple love song simply for the chemistry to work.  Overproduction could kill it.

Roberto

Love is in the air. After the forgettable Eurodrama last year, here is a quite nice song. Young voices, Disney-style or Novelas-style atmosphere, maybe a bit "cheap" but I want to reward their effort in dealing with something different, even if Spain has a real good music scene, with fantastic artists and amazing productions, both in records and videos. The could "risk" more in ESC.

Quite sweet but at the same time really quite dull and dreary.  I like her voice but his sounds too gratey and sharp.  Not horrednous but not really memorable either.

4

Roy

Again I think I could be the odd one out after seeing all the internet comments how bad and boring the fans think this is. Last year Spain said DO IT FOR YOUR LOVER and so two lovers did it this year - I quite like the song - yes I have heard it only once but it was really pleasant.

Oh dear.  It's nice enough, if a little twee.  Spain really have lost their way and this is a contender for last place again.

2

Frederico

Finding it hard to come up with words to describe this…. this is awful. From his attempts to imitate Salvador Sobral to her attempts to sound like a Disney princess this is just appalling. Can’t see this getting (m)any points from Europe .

Well this does nothing for me.  Why go through that massive selection process and come up with this?  I fear Spain will be at the bottom of the scoreboard yet again.  Weak.

3

Benedek

This is a sweet inoffensive song. The to singers have chemistry though. It might work at some level but I don’t see Spain finishing top 10. It is definitely improvement from last year.

Inevitable comparisons will be made, just for it's simplicity, to last year's winner, but the blend of two absolutely beautiful voices makes it softer somehow. There is an obvious chemistry between the two, however they need to seriously work on the staging if they want to make this really magical; the potential is there.

Congratulations Spain for sending to Lisbon the second part of the Portugese entry in 2017. I cannot understand why Spain is so far away from the trophy and the distance becomes bigger and bigger.

I know that is very difficult to find the right song but sometimes it is so difficult to find a bad bad song like this.

Not Included at time of publishing (just missed out on the 12):

Daria - This is really amazing! Spain decided to follow Portugal and has chosen something simple but touching. Please keep this approach when preparing staging for the Grand Final in May. 9.5

Octavio - An attempt of being authentic and create a magical moment and the song is beautiful, but is just not good enough for it's genre, it's quite boring. I see nothing exceptional yet, but it's missing something to make it memorable. Staging needs real work but they're both amazing especially Amaia. 7
