Monsters is a solid song. Not exactly a Finnish song, but its
good to see Saara at Eurovision at last. She needs to work on the vocal

A superstar, Saara Aalto, and an average song. Tendentially
monotonous, it does not "grow" and it does not give big
feelings. A bit tedious, nothing special. |

A fun and modern pop/dance entry for Sara, and
while her vocals could have been a bit stronger in the final there’s no
doubting that this is going to be one of the big hitters in Lisbon. A
great entry for |

'Monsters'
is a camp, catchy pop song with a good hook that creates layers of story
and drama. The challenge was always going to be replicating the energy of
the music video in her live performance and this is where things went
wrong. Saara is a great performer but her vocals were poor and there
is work to be done on the staging. |

This is OK but she needs to work on her vocal
and the stage presentation. A winner? Probably not as the sound is quite
dated and familiar. It should qualify and maybe |

possible winner, one of the most powerfull acts of this year, the entry is
promising and I won't be surprised or upset with the second victory ever

This
has everything necessary for Eurovision success. Really catchy tune,
good theme, exciting build and it’s getting publicity. The staging
has the right ingredients but needs some work, and it’s fixable with
work. Costume reveals, dancers and UV light keep us engaged.
Saara keeps singing perfectly regardless of being manhandled. |

I really liked this when I first heard it and
saw the video, but the national final performance was disappointing.
Saara and her team need to completely revamp the staging to make it
more engaging. I really want Saara to qualify, but it’s far from a
foregone conclusion that she will. |

At
last, a classic Eurovision spectacular! |

Another typical pop song, it's not bad - just
average. The staging didn't look good to me. |

The powerhouse that is Saara Aaalto makes her very welcome Eurovision debut - though sadly for her native Finland and not the UK - with a floor-filler written by Scott Fitzgerald's son. With a pedigree like that, it's clear that this is one to watch, and a strong live performance could give the Finns their second victory. |

I
would have rather picked Domino but Monsters is a nice song. I find Saara
just extremely overrated - the fans created such a hype over her. I had
not seen Xfactor to she was not that known to me. It surely is no winner. |

Saara finally get to go to Eurovision. She is a great performer and had a great pop voice. Saara needs to balance the visuals and the vocals as the NF performance wasn't great. Finland are sending a modern song which should do very well. If she gets everything right, we may be heading back to the north of europe |

Worrying live performance at UMK but its still a great pop song and will hopefully come across well in May. |

Saara's
assured but theatrical-sounding vocals come across as a bit odd when
accompanied by clubland banger music - it all got a bit shouty and pitchy
at UMK but there should be no issues with "Monsters" live in
Lisbon, especially with the really engaging staging to provide the
complete package. |

Well
to be honest this is sounding really similar to the Polish entry, and
whilst that performance has a group of people just having a good time on
stage, there’s just too much going on here visually that it glosses over
the merits of the song. |

I
like this a lot, winner material, quality song, good voice, this has the
whole package, potential winner! |

Everything
is good and Saara is a very talented singer with a strong personality, but
her team and she have to find another inspiration for the performance.
What is good for The Rasmus is not that good for Monsters. |

In studio this is one of the
strongest songs in the competition but the national final performance was
a little disappointing, but I still think this has a chance to do well if
they don't through the kitchen sink at it! |

Saara is a great singer and a very strong performer. I wasn’t
impressed the first time I heard this but now I do like it. If this does

Not
my favourite of her three and, overall, I think this could be the 'fan
flop' of the year. She has a fabulous voice but this song (and the
apparent costume) does her no favours at all. |

Not bad, but maybe a bit too late. There's
something about that salsa rhythm that feels outdated. Saara sings well
though and as long as she can keep it together on stage it will be ok. |

TOO
LATE (to make the DOUZE):
CHRIS
- The finnish broadcaster decided for this year an internal
selection of Saara Alto after her big success on the British television. I agree
that the song is nice put I have an improtant remark to pose..."Where is
the voice"?. Screaming, screaming and screaming for 3 minutes and at the end we
are all waiting for the ....end of this tyring song. I appreciate that the
Finnish tv and the fans have been working for the best result but .....nobody
have heard that we have a voiceless artist? Usually at this contest we have nice
or very nice voices.. What happened this year can anybody tell me? So sad about
this choice.... 5
