oh. Just no. This has absolutely nothing worth recommending about it. It’s a tuneless mess and deserves to sink without trace in Lisbon . This may well be the worst entry in the entire history of Eurovision. Absolutely VILE!

Alternative, post-grunge entry. Great live impact but typical disruptive and excessive screaming. Powerful but rowdy. I'm not so fond of this kind of music.

If you're going to perform in a big stadium, what better than the sound of heavy rock? I'm a little ambivalent to this style of music but I know it has its fans across Europe . Not a Eurovision winner but never discount Hungary as a finalist.

I had no high expectations from Hungary - after the horror they had last year. But I never for one moment  thought their entry would again reach last place on my rankings two years in a row - no country has ever achieved that and I so much want to go to Budapest for Eurovision. Just noise for me.

Welcome to metalcore, Eurovision fans!  Hungary supplies the diversity for Lisbon with this full on thrash and scream-fest from AWS, who provide one of the best band performances I have seen at any Eurovision event.  The purists will hate "Viszlát nyár" but muscianship and vocal technicalities here are top notch.

OMG!!! what was that? I’m not sure the audience in Lisbon will be ready for this! I hope they are all given earplugs! It will definitely stand out, but not sure that is a good thing.

This is a big no-no for me at ESC. Angry, aggressive and at times totally tuneless. Sorry Hungary , better luck next year.

Oh dear...The metal music lover in me really likes the singer, he's VERY good, but this will not work in the ESC. I understand they're trying to be different and edgy, but even metal-wise, this song is quite outdated.

Some good old fashioned rock from Hungary from a clearly popular ensemble.  Eurovision tends not to look favourably upon this sort of song though and they will struggle to attract points.

Something different and fresh from Hungary again this year. I have a rock, metal soul so could only liked it... Having said that, not sure this will do well with the average viewers at the Eurovision, might struggle to qualify.

Really not my type of song.  Am sure it will do ok but it's just noise to me.

3

Christos

Even If Hungary didn't choose my favourite one, I am sure that this song will going to be on the final night. The rock sound in a combination with the hungarian language arrives on my ears in a good way. It is the first time that the Hungarians has selected a hard rock song and I am sure that they have made a good decision, not the best one.

Heavy metal is not most fans’ idea of the ideal entry, but if you give this one time, it really starts to impress.  It’s surprisingly lyrical and even has a key change, despite being loud and chaotic.  It’s also youthful, dramatic and energetic, which will bring new people into Eurovision.

The Hungarian entry is edgy, authentic and certainly a step away from mainstream Eurovision standards. Hardcore, heavy metal is perhaps the closest description. There are parts where there is some melody but it soon dissolves into a noisy, shouty mess. Just like Slovakia in 2012 and Ukraine in 2017 I don't think this will translate very well with the viewers and juries.

A heavy rock song performed by a boy band, who got dressed in Next. I don't think it works but there won't be anything else in the contest like it! Can someone stop the shouting please!

Noise & mess in the purest state. bad done Hungary !

Well this is different.  I guess if you’re into this kind of music, you might like it.  I’m not into this kind of music, and I don’t like it.

3

Daria

Once again Hungary brings variety into Eurovision and as usually with a good quality. It’s not the best song in this genre but I’m not that picky nowadays.

Unless you're a fan of the genre, on first hearing this just sounds like noise, but there is something to be appreciated here. Will never be on my playlist, but there will be a solid minority behind it.

OMG Hungary you are the surprise factor. This song is fantastic and it will stand out in a good way. The singer is wiping out the competition. He puts huge energy in the singing, the song even that it is metal has a very good melody and it is enjoyable. I have Turkey 2010 Manga vibes. This will go to the final and there it might make a huge surprise. Hungary doesn't play safe and I LOVE IT.

Is it wrong to laugh at their OTT performance?  Not my kind of music really but, having said that, I found myself actually liking it somewhat. To my surprise.

5

Octavio

It'll definitely stick out in its semi-final. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of this, but it’s unique. I don't know if it's going to qualify or not, but It's something different that will stand out amongst than the usual pop songs and ballads. Their live performance is amazing.

Heavy metal bands are not a usually genre in Eurovision, however the one’s that have appeared in the past normally do qualify for the finally. Good luck to Hungary this year, you are going to need it!

Samantha

Gutsy, honest, real, badass metal, but it still maintains the verse-chorus-verse-chorus-keychange-chorus that ESC fans have become used to. Don't care what anyone else thinks, I love this.

NOT RECEIVED IN TIME (to make the DOUZE)

MELISSA - This is AWESOME! I haven’t been happy to hear a rock entry in ESC since Max Jason Mai! Will stand out for sure amongst the inevitable pop/RnB/ballad fare. About time we had something with energy! 9.5

ANDREW - its just noise to me, there is no music, don’t like it and I think a lot wont, song is too messy  2
