I do like country music. This entry from a
former half of the Common Linnets is absolutely fab. Great song, powerful
voice, proper energetic rhythms. Maybe too much "American" for
ESC, but it's "real" music, well arranged and played with
professionalism and passion. Well done |

Wow! This is a STRONG entry. I’m a huge fan of
the TV show |

Took a minute or so for this song to catch me,
but then it really got going, I like it a lot and would love to see it
make the final |

We shouldn't be surprised that Waylon went for a
hard-edged rockabilly slant on Country & Western.
"Outlaw" sounds musically and lyrically as though it would sit
perfectly alongside Bon Jovi in "Young Guns" but it needs fans
that won't be watching Eurovision to fully appreciate the positives of the
song. |

Did not have high hopes for this and it proofed
to be correct. Just sounds too American for my taste and I dislike the
title. I however see many rave about it and even called it the 2018
winner. For me it may not even qualify. |

Waylon has previous performed at Eurovision in
2014 as part of the Common Linnets, finishing a very respectable second.
This year Waylon will be performing a country style song called Outlaw In
‘Em. Not might sort of thing, but think he again will do well, and
qualify for the final on 12-May |

A good pop country song, it's different and
entertaining. Should do well with juries. |

A ballsy slice of rock-meets-country. It's a
joy to hear a song that doesn't have a whiff of the production line
and Waylon's vocal does the entry justice. Good stuff! |

Mixing country and rock, is not my cup of tea. I

Another
genre little heard at Eurovision. It might be simpler to go with a
cross-over fusion, but Waylon has gone the whole hog with proper country
rock-out track. I’m not usually into this kind of music, but
it’s catchy, and ultimately authentic. And he can sing! This
will do well. |

It
is becoming a Dutch tradition to send a country song in even years
although 'Outlaw In 'Em' is more country and rock combined. This sounds
angry and nervous for 3 minutes without a real climax. Waylon nails the
genre to be sure and delivers it with a lot of passion and authenticity but
he is taking a huge risk with this song. |

Very strong indeed. Not really my type of
music, but this feels genuine, and I am sure it will come across well both
in the hall and to TV viewers. A performance song that should
attract both televotes and jury votes. |

OMG
another good song. Love this song. Waylon again brings quality to
the Eurovision. I love the country and rock vibe togheter. I know its
gonna be a devisive song but the final I think is very possible with this.
The vocals are great. I think this is top 10 contender. |

Well, this ain't no Common Linnets Mk 2. Waylon does his best to
create a foot-stomper from this country standard, but it doesn't grab the
attention or stay in the memory. |

Wow! I don’t know why I’m surprised at this, it really is so
good I can’t even believe he’s Dutch! Toe-tapping from the very first
note, he’s very solid performing it live and will be one to watch! |

Waylon is back and he is rocking the place! i love the driving rhythm
and it will stand out in |

This year entry is not for that big audience who have voted for
Calm After the Storm. “Outlaw In 'Em” is for big guitar and rock music
fans like me and I do like it. I also like to think that we can expect a
very good performance by Waylon. |

Everyone
will remember this, this will stick out, it`s quality song, good singer,
another whole package, this will be interesting, it will be one of the
favourites for sure |

I'm quite blown away. It's different, current
and a little bit sexy. I love everything about this song and I hope it
will transfer as good to the live stage. |

Not what I'd normally listen to and I
was skeptical of Waylon's selection, but I really feel this. Has an
authentic vibe. Passionate, rousing and a different flavour for the
contest. No brainer qualifier from semi 2. |

A nice slice of country-pop here,
it's nowhere near as good as Calm After the Storm, but it is perfectly
pleasant and is sure to pick up a decent number of votes, but it is very
unlikely that Waylon will be repeating his last result in the contest. |

I like the fact that it's different
from every other song in 2018 and it it's authentic, the song, his voice,
his attitude. Usually I'm not a fan of this genre, but this song and the
singing are quite impressive. Waylon is such a good performer and that
It's a good song country-rock that would play in a movie. |

– Well this was his pick
all along and I do like it, although I think in places he seems to be trying too
hard and he's in danger of bursting a blood vessel. Still I do like
rock/country. 7
MARK
M - Disappointing
for me after "Calm After the Storm". I'm not a country fan but
this is a fairly good example of that genre.
