Biased as she is from my hometown. She is
a good singer but I think it'll benefit from a re-vamp as it is a bit weak
in places. That said, it is a toe-tapper and the tune gets into your
head. |

A
catchy number. SuRie’s voice isn’t great, rather weak on the highest
notes. It’s a bit repetitive but has a strong start. That repetitiveness
may be its own strength. I don’t get the fuss about it and I don’t
foresee it reaching the left-hand side of the scoreboard. |

This
is a good choice and may do well. SuRie delivers an anthem with a
message. She knows what it takes to deliver a song on the Eurovision
stage and will give a flawless performance. I was struck by how it
engaged an audience of hard core fans in |

'Storm'
is hopeful, upbeat and anthemic and I love the violins and piano with
modern production. Touching lyrics and sung with emotion that clearly
connected with the audience. SuRie, who helped out |

SuRie's big stage experience is the key - her
clear vocal tone helps the song stick in your head, but the wow factor is
all about her performance capabilities that energise the audience through
her visual and lyrical storytelling and stage charisma that takes
"Storm" to a whole new level. |

I kind of like this song. It's catchy and I will probably sing
along to it later. However, the singer is quite weak! Up until the last 30 seconds
she sounds like she's mostly spent her career singing in the shower, but
there is potential! |

Wasn’t blown away by the studio version, but
live this was great. Engaging performance that lifted a simple song. Hope
she does well. |

Not my pre National final fav but wow, what a
performance on the night! SuRie has a great voice and really engages well
with the audience. The song has a strong anthemic feel but lacks punch - I
hope we remix like last year. Then we could be looking at something
special! |

Since middle December I have suffered several STORMS in
Johannesburg and suffered a lot of damage and last night went to sleep
after another storm, so surely that was a sign there had to be a song
called STORM in Eurovision this year. Although no masterpiece this was the
only song in the |

The six acts, along with their tracks were
played on the radio a few weeks ago in anticipation for EYD. I was
immediately drawn to SuRie. The live performance at the Brighton
Dome really showed off SuRie performing abilities, and I believe that her
song Storm will become a Eurovision anthem. Let’s hope that this a
turning point for us here in the |

It's a nice entry. Catchy enough, good voice,
fair contemporary sounds. But something may be missing. I think the
refrain needs a little revamp, just to make it pleasant with every
listening. Worthy choice. |

Surie
really knocked it out the park live. Lots of potential for the song.
Needs more oomph. |

Sounds pretty nice and pretty Eurovision. But
not really modern. Give us a catchy performance in May and we will
remember this entry for a long time. |

So often has a song started out with a mesmeric
vocal quality, before taking the easy route of poppy, hands-in-the-air
chorus. Thus we meet the |

The
case of Germany 2017, a nice song that unfortunately lacks personality and
strength, and will unfairly sink in the final. |

It's not bad song, SuRie has a great voice, the
chorus is quite catchy. Of course, it's not a very original entry and I
don't think it will win the Eurovision but should get a good few points. |

Great build up, awesome bridge! Oops, that
wasn't the bridge, that was the chorus. Really? Oh bugger, so much
potential and then they gave up writing the song. Back to 20th or below in
the final. GUTTED! |

It
was always going to be hard to follow Lucie's cracking entry, but this
falls flat in a big way. It sounds like something Des'ree would release
now after a 15 year hiatus whilst trying to be modern and contemporary.
SuRie has a decent vocal and a memorable look, but nothing else
unfortunately. Better luck next year. |
