'It's Christmas Time!'  Ruben & Ray Caruana

Eurovision fans will remember RAY CARUANA who was lead singer with LIVE REPORT who achieved a mighty 2nd Place for the UK at Eurovision 1989 with 'Why Do I Always Get It Wrong' (how we dream of a result like that these days!)

Well, Ray has a new single OUT NOW for Christmas, together with his brother Ruben.

'It's Christmas Time' is a classic song of the season, a timeless and infectious song which perfectly encapsulates the feeling of Christmas.

The song began its life from the pen of Ruben Caruana, who went on to arrange the music and introduce the vocals of his brother Ray Caruana, our talented former Eurovision contender, with his unique vocal talent.

Ruben and Ray were approached by pupils from St Bernards School in Westcliff on sea, Essex , who expressed a firm interest in being involved in the project.

Ms Alex Watts (sixth form student) approached Ruben with a real desire to be involved. She brought together a group of highly talented, enthusiastic members of the St Bernards chamber choir, who at short notice managed to master the vocals and bring a fabulous festive dynamic to the song.

The choir attended Soundz Studios in Southend on sea on Thursday 21st November where the final version was recorded.

The song went on general release on Sunday 1st December and is available for download

The song release coincided with the first live performance at Westcliff Casino following an invitation from member of parliament David Amess to attend and perform at Southend on sea's bid to become 2017 City Of Culture , with national television and radio in attendance.

The Project has great support from Maltese Radio who were extremely supportive of Ray in his 1989 Eurovision bid and interest is also growing on their Facebook and Twitter feed:
