The Big RESULT (12 July 03)
With
the advent of the United Kingdom’s first zero-point Eurovision entry (and the
first NUL POINTS of the new Millennium) – we have been finding out out who really
deserved the zero and who didn’t….
84 people from 18 countries have voted and the results have been counted. The voting has been spread all over with each of the songs receiving at least one 12 and several ZERO's..... It just goes to show that every Eurovision song will appeal to somebody!
SO... the big favourite and the song people think should not have scored zero, is ....

Norway 78- the version I have
is a slow folk sound, which is miles better than his live performance. He
had put too much effort into it and it had backfired. Turkey 83 was by far
the worse, what on earth were they thinking of, and as for Spain 83, I'd
hate to think what she was on. As for Norway 97, Very simple, very naff.
But no doubt to my mind, Iceland 89 did not deserve nul pwa, It did have a
tune to it and was nothing wrong with his voice. As for us this year,
never mind the war, what about Switzerland in 98? They weren't at war. |

That Finland scored 0 in 82 just shows how awful the
voting can be sometimes in ESC. It just shows it has nothing to do with
quality - like many rock songs in ESC this is VASTLY underrated! |
